The fight plus the Derby has, what, 50 million people gathering to watch?
If just 2% of them decided to watch AoU instead, that's almost $15 million in lost revenue for opening weekend. Would have broken OW, but too bad.
It's annoying for AoU, but hopefully that means a softer Sunday drop.
Not to mention 15 million plus viewers of the Kentucky Derby earlier.
But literally all I'm hearing is the fight. Fb is just insanely flooded with it. Haven't seen anything like it except for maybe election day.
Who cares if it had more hours? That has been the trend with movies since day 1. More theaters, more screens, more 3D, more population, better economy, inflation, etc.; it's all irrelevant.
Sure, I'll nominate all the trolls who like to go off topic and bring up other movie franchises and brag about numbers like little 12 year olds. Mods have a tough job to do.
After Ultron, we will have had 6 consecutive MCU movies making over $200M. So I don't think Ant-Man making $200M would be strange at all.
To make it "really" strange, your prediction would have to be at most $150M.
I haven't been excited about an Adam Sandler movie since Waterboy... until now. This looks hilarious!
Maybe this won't do well with all the competition, but if it's good, maybe it'll be a sleeper hit.
I didn't like her acting all all; just too forced. JVDB was really good, though. A more adult take on Power Rangers could definitely work, but not something so grim or else it'll end up being a B movie.
