  2. So... back to predicting 2015? It's been almost a full day since the last predict.
  3. Yeah, I'm surprised by the little love it's gotten. Space seems to be making a comeback, first with Gravity, now Guardians of the Galaxy. Soon Interstellar, and then Tomorrowland should build off of that. Also perfect timing for Marvel to go cosmic.
  4. I don't think Turtles will have a 2.9 multiplier, but we shall see.
  5. Wow, TF4 losing 66.5% of its theaters! Yeah, no way it hits $250M anymore. Should make room for a large Guardians/Turtles weekend.
  6. Can it beat Transformers? Who'da thought it'd even be considered...
  7. I agree that Maleficent was a big surprise hit, but I still think GOTG takes the cake. Maleficent to me seems way more universally appealing than GOTG. With the Snow White backstory, plus Angelina Jolie's star power, I'm not sure there are very many people in the entire Western civilization who doesn't know either of the two.
  8. I see your point, but I feel like that's like saying because James Cameron directed Avatar, it was expected to gross $760M, and so that number is just meh.
  9. And what about Harry Potter parodies? Lol, this would be my favorite, "The Mysterious Ticking Noise..."
  10. I liked them all. There wasn't a single one I didn't quite like. My faves were DH2, Goblet, and OotP. Bottom ones were probably HBP and DH1. I know people rave about PoA, but I wasn't really into the whole time travel sequence. To be fair, it was the only one I saw on DVD instead of theaters, so maybe I need to watch it again.
  11. I really wished TF1 ended with the Transformers Theme by MuteMath on its soundtrack. But I guess Linkin Park is more palpable to the masses.
  12. Wow, if this ends up with no legs and underperforms, I wonder if Sony will pull the plug like other studios did with Blade and Daredevil. Then if X-Men DOFP tanks, maybe Fox will pull the plug on that, too.
  13. Movie costed only $125M. So double that and it needs $250 to break even. It sits at almost $300M now. How is it "far" short?
  14. Omg, I forgot how incredible this scene was. I am almost in tears.
  15. $550M for Avengers 2 I think is kinda low-balling it. That's almost a $100M drop. It would have to be an average movie. I think Joss Whedon will out-do himself, and that it has a great chance of making more than the original. Now for SW7, I have to downplay it a little. It just depends on how they build up the hype and how good JJ does with the material. High 400s seems like a safe bet, but we'll see if it can break out or not.
  16. Yeah, IA is Dreamworks, isn't it? Perhaps we could see them in a dream sequence or something. The whole thing would be like Who Framed Roger Rabbit!
  17. How about a "super hero" mashup that combines Shrek, Madagascar, Kung-Fu Panda, Ice Age, Croods, and How to Train Your Dragon all in one Universe. Dreamworks would make billions.
  18. WTF, really? WTF, really??? Oh, and Saving Private Ryan takes the cake with Vin Diesel, Ted Danson, and Paul Giamatti.
  19. How about that girl Ziyi Zhang that was in Crouching Tiger and practically EVERY F'ING MOVIE WITH AN ASIAN FEMALE FOR 10 YEARS. URRRRGHH!!!! Oh, and Sam Worthington was in like everything for a few years and no one cared, so he disappeared into oblivion but lucked out with the lead role in Avatar. And still no one cares about him.
  20. Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze........... GO NINJA GO NINJA GO! NINJA! NINJA! GO!!
