    True. Movie studios would be wise to cater to the OS market as long as the economy in America stinks.

    They knew it wasn't gonna do well in the states, so they didn't want to waste more money on advertising.

    To be fair, that was just before the economy went AWOL.I do agree, however, that interest has waned. The trailer should have been more about the menacing Moriarty (a la the Joker in TDK) instead of more of the same RDJ gags (*cough* IM2 *cough*).Imagine if the Joker took a backseat in TDK. It probably wouldn't have made half as much as it did!In any case, the studio execs can certainly hope for good holds during Christmas, so we'll wait and see.

    You should have made a club, though it may have been locked considering how high all the predicts were.I remember making a Rise of the Apes club for >$200M DOM that got locked instantly, but it only missed by about 11% of what it needed.

    Anyways, if these predicts/projections hold true, it looks to be a very disappointing Winter.Hopefully, Christmas will help boost Alvin's & Sherlock's 2nd weekend and give it some strong legs, but usually sequels don't have very strong legs unless they're really, really good.

    I noticed Sony is distributing most of Tintin's foreign markets instead of Paramount. Does that complicate things more??

    I always saw Paul Giamatti as The Penguin.And Joseph Gordon-Levitt or even Jason Statham as Robin, depending on how they want to use him.As for Batman? Hmm... no clue whatsoever. Ewan McGregor???
