  1. Not yet. That's the beauty of Venom. Venom eats everything and anything, including box office and CinemaScores.
  2. It seems they kept what worked in the first movie and trimmed or slashed what didn't work. Anyway, I really enjoyed the first one and I'm sure I'll love the sequel.
  3. Venom would be the best choice to have a trailer linked to... It's probably the biggest Sony release before the new Spidey movie. They better hurry up with that marketing.
  4. F for FUN, I guess...lol It was a terrible movie, but I actually want to watch it again. I don't know why. If it gets an F, the marketing should get part of the blame. The movie is nothing like the trailer. WB dumped this thing. I enjoy James Wan's movies ( all of them ), so I'm glad he made this movie he wanted to do. However, people vote with their wallets, so let's see what happens.
  5. So, any guess on the CinemaScore for this one? Critics are enjoying it, but audiences definitely aren't...This movie was bad, but better than a lot of horror movies like The Nun, for example.
  6. This movie isn't getting a B. I mean, stuff like Annabelle Creation got a B. The Nun ( which is a poor movie ) got a C. Malignant is absolutely not the movie promoted by the trailers. No wonder WB dumped this one, even with decent reviews. This a very bad movie, probably one of the best worst movies I've ever seen. No idea on how people will react once leaving the theaters, lol. I had fun with it, but for the wrong reasons. This is a bad movie that knows it's bad and plays it with a straight face. Perhaps that's why critics are enjoying it.
  7. This is one of the best worst movies I've ever seen! It was never boring, never! I think audiences will hate it, unless they're horror fanatics. I was the only one in the theater that liked it. Everybody else hated it or left the theater in the third act.
  8. I couldn't resist and I read the whole thing ( at least, what the movie is really about...). If The Nun got a C CinemaScore, Malignant is definitely getting a D or lower.
  9. Reviews are all over the place. Most of them talk about the movie being camp and hilarious during the thirdact. Thing is: I know nothing about the movie's plot. The trailer is seeling me another Supernatural or what seems to be another Supernatural movie. At least, that's the idea I got from the trailer. So, if what we see is what we'll get, then it's fine. If not, then I see people rejecting it.
  10. So, in a nutshell: 1) Good number ( when you ignore context ) 2) Bad number ( if you add context, given the movie has a bad multiplier for its opening day ) 3) I'm torn on PA numbers. Maybe they wanted to inflate numbers or send a message that PA is also doing its part. 4) Many people probably aren't excited to see a solo movie for a character that's already dead. 5) Pandemic is far from over. Overall, perhaps everyone could be right in the discussion. Number is good and bad depending on perspective. I'm glad people are coming back to the cinema. It's really good.
  11. That's a good number for MK, given it didn't have previews and it's also available on HBO.
  12. Numbers aren't good and that's a fact. Can they improve? Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, my kids want to see Tom & Jerry and this movie tomorrow. Gonna be a very long day...
  13. Wow, looks like garbage. I can tell this thing is getting an F CinemaScore, based on the trailer alone.
  14. I watched this cartoon on Rede Record. It was shown during the afternoon. Good times.
  15. I hope the acting is much better in the movie than it was in the trailer. That woman simply didn't care about her son aging 12 years in less than 1 day. The dialogue and lines are atrocious. "There's something wrong with this island"...Really?
  16. Is this getting a domestic release? It seems A24 still has to reveal a new release date, after delaying it a couple of times.
  17. I think Jenkins and Gadot should drop Cleopatra ASAP! That's a bomb waiting to blow up.
