Halloween Ends (2022)
Blaze Heatnix replied to Eric the Ape's topic in Review That Movie! (Spoilers Allowed)
It's crystal clear that they probably filmed the last 20 minutes of the movie and had no idea about what would come before these last 20 minutes, lol. 90 minutes of nonsense until we finally get 15/20 minutes of killings. For almost a full hour I thought I was seeing the wrong movie, lol. I'll pretend Halloween 2018 never got sequels. Maybe...just maybe someone could come with a special edit and put the last 20 minutes of Ends right after the ending of Kills. It would be a much better effortand would save us from that tragedy called Ends. -
So, critics are enjoying it overall. Fine. Will general audiences feel the same? I'm curious. Call me slow, but what's the subject of the movie? I watched the final trailer and it seems to spoil a ton about the movie. It shows the UFO, right? It seems to be about people getting sucked by the UFO, but this is it. Now I'm seeing reviews saying you should watch it with "an open mind". Why should I open my mind to see a movie about a UFO? Is the trailer misleading? Now I'm seeing critics talking about Jaws... The point is: Is the trailer really selling the right movie? Some say we shouldn't expect horror. Some say we should go with an open mind. Is it another It Comes at Night? lol.

CinemaScore is gonna be interesting. This is the second worst reviewd Thor movie ( besides Dark World ). Dark World got A- CinemaScore, while Thor 1 got a B+ Dr Strange got a 85% Audience Score on RT and it got a B+ CinemaScore Thor Love and Thunder also has a 85% Audience Score on RT, but that's based on 500 reviews, while Dr Strange 2 has more than 10.000 audience reviews. So, CinemaScore is gonna be either A- or B+

So, F CinemaScore coming soon? -
Memory starts with 64% on Audience Score. It'll be quickly forgotten!!!

Yeah, CinemaScore is pretty much subjective and shouldn't be taken literally without context. The Northman got a B CinemaScore, which is exactly what Catwoman got. So, does that mean Northman is as bad as Catwoman? Of course not! The CinemaScores don't correlate to movies having the same quality. The Northman is a great and intense movie that got a much better CinemaScore than I thought, while Catwoman is a piece of shit movie that also got a much better CinemaScore than I thought, lol.

Very small sample for the Verified Score, though. It's only based on little more than 100 votes. I assume most of these votes are from fans and people who enjoyed the director's previous works. Many of them praise the director for keeping the style from previous works. General audiences might not feel the need to rush to Rotten Tomatoes. B is impossible imo. No way this movie is getting a grade on the B range. C+ is my bet for now. Let's wait for the PostTrak exits.
