  1. It doesn't matter. Barely rotten or barely flash for a barely movie. I'll be watching it on discount day, cause I need a good laugh! XD
  2. In Hong Kong, it's getting worse audience reviews than Fant4stic .
  3. Fant4stic was 1 hour and 40 minutes long, but somehow it felt like 4 hours. Pacing usually speaks louder than running time.
  4. Exactly. At this point, Marvel really should lift the embargo. It doesn't matter anymore. More and more people are already watching the movie, as we speak.
  5. If the movie is already out overseas, what's the point of holding social embargo? That makes no sense.
  6. Wow, we're in 2023 but skybeam is still a thing? That alone turned me off in the trailer. I got Fant4stic vibes. Everything was so cringe, generic, awful, 1/4 of the trailer was footage featuring Captain America / Iron Man / Thanos, spoiling Valkyrie, possibly the post credits scene, villain with generic lines. I think the first trailer was better than this.
  7. Hollywood might be dead for some months, if the strike keeps going. So, time to focus on Bollywood for a while. Lots of great foreign movies. Studios can buy them for domestic releases and marketing. I guess the cast can even promote them, because they aren't part of the SAG. By the way, hopefully Tiger 3 is good.
  8. Oh, make no mistake. This movie is being promoted. However, no promotion can beat the lack of energy and excitement that are haunting this movie. So, yeah, it's being promoted BUT studio definitely thinks it's a stinker. Are they seriously lifting a freaking social embargo 1 day before it gets released overseas? That's madness.
  9. That's not a rule. Guy who directed Gigli, never directed anything again ( and he directed some good movies before Gigli )
  10. I really enjoyed it. It was very well made and the animatronics were amazing. My daughter played the games, so she kept me informed about characters and who the villain was. It was a cool flick and people clapped once it ended.
  11. This CGI is very crappy for a 250 million budgeted movie. This is Superman 4 level of shit. I'm getting Fant4stic vibes from what's happening to this movie.
  12. Why doesn't Marvel have some fan screenings for The Marvels, like they did with GOTG 3? This movie is getting released overseas in less than 4 days, so why not screening it to fans in order to build word of mouth like GOTG 3? Why lifting SOCIAL embargos basically 1 day before the release? Seriously, folks. MCU made a lot of great movies, but this one really has a lot of red flags that are so red that you can't ignore them even if you're freaking blind, lol. I know some really want it to be good, but please be realistic. If this movie gets good reviews, it's even worse because it shows Marvel is incompetent and doesn't have confidence around their own products. They better get their shit together, because this train derailed badly.
  13. So, in a nutshell: 1) Social and review embargo lifting 1 day before the main release 2) Director is missing. Nia disappeared. 3) Is Kevin Feige alive? Serious question 4) Where are the writers for this movie? 5) Marketing has been awful 6) They released a clip that looks crap 7) No fan screenings to build word of mouth like what happened to GOTG 3 8 ) They're not even showing the full movie to crtics I don't know about you guys, way too many red flags to ignore. Some people are saying Marvel wants to "protect" this movie because it has "serious" spoilers. That's a really weird hill to die on. There's a very high chance this movie sucks and it gets badly reviewed. That's reality Add in the lack of hype and energy.
  14. So, is Nia DaCosta proud of her work in The Marvels? Because the movie gets released in 8 days and she has barely talked about it. Once the movie gets released, is she gonna tweet anything about having a better version 1 year ago? I've read that before. Can't wait for it.
  15. So, 9 days until the release. Where are Mr Kevin Feige and whoever directed this movie? Any fan screenings like GOTG 3 had some weeks before the main release? Are they really lifint a freaking social embargo literally 12 days before the release? It seems they're really setting up this movie to fail, which really seems to be planned.
  16. Everything screams generic / lackluster , regarding this movie. The lack of energy / excitement is very obvious. The clip released yesterday was laughable and not in a good way. I'm getting Quantumania vibes here, which is always a bad sign. By the way, what's going on with Brie Larson? I'm being honest. I'm watching some interviews and videos on youtube and boy, she really needs a PR to tell her how to answer some questions. She's a great actress and a beautiful woman, but she doesn't know how to act in front of someone interviewing her. I've just watched her answer about playing Captain Marvel, where she says "I don't know. Does anyone want me to do it again?". That was a very bad and petty answer, imo. So, how did the whole "Brie Larson hate" start? I'm being honest. I keep hearing so many people saying men are afraid of strong female protagonists, but that's definitely false. There are lots of movies and even games featuring women as protagonists / main characters and they have been loved by male audiences. Characters like Sarah Connor, Ripley, Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Selene, Black Widow and so on have been loved by almost entire audiences. These are female characters that got full franchises around them, which means they were and they are loved. I could tell tons of movies and games featuring women as protagonists and they didn't get a single insult towards them for having women as protagonists. Men definitely aren't afraid of women as protagonists. So, what's going on with Captain Marvel? Yes, I'm asking a serious question. Is there charisma ( or lack of it ) involved? Is Brie way too much serious? Something not clicking with how her character is written? Her answers during interviews? Really curious on this one.
  17. Wow, clip is 1 minute long but it feels almost 5 minutes long...That's not good. It looks bland, the action looks cheap and generic, the tone is all over the place, the editing is mediocre. I would like to see a movie called "Behind the scenes for the Marvels", because the movie being advertised isn't the movie we deserve to see.
  18. If this one performs well, I can't wait to see a Bendy and the Ink Machine movie. Just not a Blumhouse production, please. Maybe give it to James Wan's Atomic Monster production.
  19. It seems people simply don't care about this movie. The director, producers, writers and marketing are all missing. The post credits scene ( if it's real ) won't really help the movie that much. I wouldn't spend money to watch a movie just to see a post credits scene. At least, not for a movie like The Marvels.
  20. I read about what could be. It's so freaking random that I'm actually believing it could be real.
  21. So, does the movie ( aka The Marvels ) even have a director, writer? I mean, where are they? Better yet, where is Kevin Feige? Why isn't the director talking about the movie? Why isn't the writer talking about it? Where's Kevin Feige to hype it? Do they even know their movie is getting released in basically 2 weeks? Where are the interviews with them? Where are the other producers? Bad movie or not, at least they can and they should be talking about it. Yeah, there's a strike going on, but directors, writers and Feige aren't part of that strike. What the hell is going on?
  22. If this movie performs well, maybe we're getting a Bendy and the Ink Machine movie. Bendy is amazing.
  23. This movie is tracking low. If it's good, Disney needs to lift the embargo earlier, so they can boost people's confidence. Unless of course, the movie sucks and Disney has no faith in it, which is a very high possibility. Fact is: This movie needs something, anything, whatever thing. It's amazing how the studio is doing nothing at all to promote this thing. They could do the same thing they did with GOTG 3, by slowly building confidence through screenings for fans / critics long before the main release.
