  1. Intense movie. So damn good! I hope we get the next one as soon as possible. That cliffhanger is so brutal!
  2. Dante ( Momoa's character ) will probably get a spin-off just to piss off Vin Diesel and his ego.
  3. I'll be simple and direct: 1) People vote with their wallets. For The Little Mermaid and any film. 2) This is business 101. Either audiences get a ticket or not. 3) Why are the overseas numbers ( and perhaps even the domestic number ) disappointing? You can always have arguments and point fingers at grave problems like racism / sexism and so on, BUT points 1 and 2 are the only things that truly matter in a box office discussion. I know the world isn't fair, but things are what they are.
  4. At this point, Universal probably is well aware of the fact that Fast X is a money loser. Their goal should be losing less money than expected, since they hardly will get any profit. Performing like F9 domestically, probably getting less than 200 million in China and given the fact that they only get 50% of domestic numbers, 25% of China and 40% of overseas grosses...Well, at least Mario will give so much money to Universal that they can write Fast X off. Budget is 340 million and who knows how much was spent for marketing / promotion ( I guess at least 100 million ).
  5. I've just read an article where Mangold says no great script happens without writers. Well, I guess he's probably looking for the guys who wrote Dial of Destiny as we speak.
  6. This movie is 100% a money loser to the studio. I think the best scenario is losing less money than expected. Universal should be glad they're getting a big profit from Mario movie. It has a budget of 340 million plus whatever they spent for marketing promotion.
  7. Maybe Elena didn't die. Maybe she's the mastermind and hired Cipher, lol. In these movies, everything is possible. They already went to space.
  8. The movie has no ending, so there's barely anything to spoil other than cameos ( one of them is in the news ).
  9. Yeah, this is very similar to The Devil Inside and I never got the analogy with Infinity War. Infinity War ended on a cliffhanger, yeah, but it also told a complete story from a character ( Thanos ) that had a mission and managed to complete the mission. This Fast and the Furious movie on the other hand has nothing like that. Without spoilers, just imagine Thanos getting the stones and then putting them in the gauntlet and the movie ends right there.
  10. Fast and Furious 11 or Fast and Furious X-2 should happen at least. You don't end a movie like they did with Fast X. By the way, how audiences are going to react to
  11. So, how many hours until the fan screening where people will finally seewhat the hell is going on with this movie? So many reports. Bonkers ending, Devil Inside esque ending, cliffhanger.
  12. Is the ending really like The Devil Inside's but without a text? I remember seing you tweeting that. XD
  13. I can't wait for the reviews ( yeah, yeah, nobody should care about them for this kind of movie ), BUT I'm curious about the ending. It seems the movie has no ending just like The Devil Inside. ViewerAnon said this movie had very bad test screenings, so perhaps this is why.
  14. Agreed! I'm probably part of the people who'll select future MCU ( and even DCU and Sony ) movies to be watched. I'm probably watching GOTG 3 soon. I'll avoid The Marvels ( doesn't look interesting. In fact, it screams Thor Love and Thunder imo ), Blade ( I refuse to see a PG-13 rated Blade and I'm biased towards the Snipes trilogy ), Thunderbolts ( seems irrelevant, imo. I've already seen that before in Suicide Squad ). Captain America 4 is a 50/50 possibility ( not sure on this one ). I'll 100% watch Deadpool 3, given how it also features Wolverine and it seems to be a great event movie. GOTG 3 being a great movie also helps DC, because I'll definitely watch Gunn's Superman. Regarding Sony, I'll probably watch Kraven ( it's R rated ) and avoid Madame Web ( that one is written by the guys who wrote Morbius, so I'll wait for the online version, lol ).
  15. Eternals, Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4 and Antman 3 really damaged the brand a lot. Sure, Doctor Strange 2 and Thor 4 made a lot of money and were profitable, but so were the bad Transformers movies directed by Michael Bay, until people finally stopped watching them and then we got a "reboot". Thing is: don't take the audiences for granted. MCU is a very powerful brand / franchise, BUT bad movies ALWAYS damage a brand. GOTG 3 being a good movie should be the rule and not exception. What if The Marvels is another Love and Thunder fiasco? Are people excited for a PG-13 Blade flick? What about Thunderbolts ( aka MCU's Suicide Squad )? Captain America 4 might perform really well, but it's a Captain America movie without the original Captain America ( Steve Rogers ). From now on, maybe ( just maybe ) general audiences will be more selective. What if they skip The Marvels, Thunderbolts and come just for Captain America 4 and Deadpool 3? Ever since the pandemic, prices have been very excessive and habits changed. Maybe people will just avoid movies they think they're mediocre ( in their view ) and will wait for "event" movies. GOTG 3 is something different, because its closing a story that started 9 years ago.
  16. GOTG 3 is now at 77% on RT. Usully these movies have 300/350 reviews and so far, we've had a little more than 100. No idea about the final tomatometer, but it can go both ways. Getting rotten would be a truly disaster, getting less than Love and Thunder (which wasn't rotten ) and not rotten would also be a disaster. All in all, I'm curious about sales.
  17. So, what's the budget for this movie? Previous one had a 200 million budget, and this one seems to be expensive. So, 250 million?
  18. Any number for Knights of the Zodiac live action flick?
  19. I'll be watching Knights of the Zodiac in the next hours. Can't wait for it!
