I agree that Deadpool & Wolverine is a freaking generic name, BUT it's the best one at the same time for promotional reasons. Calling it DP3 would basically be telling this is just another Deadpool movie, which clearly this isn't. The studio is really selling this movie as another event movie. I think it's better this way by putting Wolvie in the mix.

Looks ok /fine, I guess. This is not a solo Deadpool movie, but the trailer sold it as just another Deadpool movie, which this movie clearly isn't meant to be. At least, the trailer hasn't spoiled the whole movie in 2 minutes, which is a freaking plus. I won't lie, I'm curious. So, they have my attention. However, I'm not sold on the 1 billion worldwide club. At least, not yet.

They still spent that money, regardless. They don't spend money for nothing. They need to make cash back, and this ain't doing it. -

That C+ CinemaScore is exactly what I expected after seeing that 64% Audience Score on RT. It's quite funny how the CinemaScore and Verified Audience Score almost always correlate each other -

Lol at that 64% Verified Audience Score for Argylle. This movie is dead on arrival. -
The biggest problem with Live Free or Die Hard was the pg-13 rating. Yes, it was a better movie than the R rated fifth one ( NOT directed by Len Wiseman ),but I felt the 5th movie ( as bad as it was ) at least was more Die Hard than the previous one. Die Hard and PG-13 ratings can't be put together. Studios never learn. They did that with Expendables 3 too.

WB sent Aquaman 2 to have a quick death. Not even a freaking premiere event, nothing, nada. It's surprising, because Aquaman is the only DCEU movie that made more than 1 billion worldwide. So, WB should have focused on the sequel to this movie. Instead of that, they promoted a Flash movie featuring a crazy lunatic criminal that flopped so bad that nobody even cared about it. Aquaman 2 wasn't a perfect /great movie, but it was a ton of fun and it had a soul and a charismatic lead. I'm glad it's not flopping as bad as previous movies.

Positive reviews ( 73% on RT ) will probably help the Beekeeper. Is there a page for the movie? -
Let's be honest, loud and clear : Aquaman 2 is still a flop. I loved it, but it'll still lose money. The only difference is that the movie is putting up a better fight than most of the previous cbm movies that really flopped badly. So, it's like getting shot 10 times instead of 30 times. This movie is like the fighter that everyone was expecting to lose in the first round, only to survive until round 10 and then lose. So yeah, the performance has been much better than expected and it might make twice the numbers The Marvels did. It's still a failure, but it's less damaging than others. WB isn't sad about it, the studio barely promoted it. Thanks to James Wan's action scenes and direction and Momoa's charismatic persona, this movie is finding some audiences. I had a ton of fun with it. So, I'm glad it's performing better than expected. I watched it twice!

Times changed. New era. New game. New rules. Eons ago, audiences were more forgiving regarding ok / fine / mediocre / bad movies. We had a pandemic, ticket prices are insanely high in a lot of places / countries, inflation is high, everything is expensive , audiences are less forgiving now. Movies can't be just ok/fine/cool/watchable anymore. Studios have to make movies that are gems, arts and justify people leaving their homes to watch them. At least, that's the message I'm getting.

Deadline is expecting Aquaman 2 to finish its domestic run with 150 million domestic. That's quite a bold prediction.
