Alright, let's do this. A little bit of backround for tiebreakers. I usually managed to avoid the worst by using the most #1 votes, then #2, and so on. Only one category landed in a tie, largely because, a lot of y'all voted for yourselves. Tsk tsk. FUNNIEST USER The nominees are... @CJohn @CoolioD1 @IronJimbo @M37 @MrPink @SLAM! @XXR of the Galaxy

Favorite of the 2022 Best Picture Nominees
Ezen Baklattan replied to filmlover's topic in And The Winner Is...
1. Everything Everywhere All at Once 2. The Fabelmans 3. Women Talking 4. The Banshees of Inisherin 5. Tar 6. Avatar: The Way of Water 7. Elvis 8. Top Gun: Maverick 9. Triangle of Sadness Holding out on All Quiet getting a theatrical rerelease before I watch that. -
Locking these in now. Let's go. NGNG predictions: RRR makes it into picture after all. Ana De Armas replaces Davis in Best Actress - I think Williams makes it in after all and I fear she's the most vulnerable. No Close in International Film No Fire of Love in Documentary 'She Said' completely shut out No John Williams

https://annieawards.org/nominations The race for the fifth slot is chaotic. Sea Beast/Wendell make it in here, Inu-Oh has a presence, PGA nominated Minions 2, and The Bad Guys is still lingering (albeit with dying chances) I guess W&W is still the safest pick. Aside from Early Man, every single Laika and Aardman (Stop Motion) animated film has gotten nominated since the category's inception. The medium goes a LONG way with the academy and it will probably push this over the line.

I think Triangle of Sadness still has a LOT of potential to play well with this academy, especially with how well it's doing with European audiences. I'm not even ruling out it making it into the BAFTA five. I'd give it the edge over Aftersun to be the English European film to make it over (ugh). THAT BEING SAID....I think Wells is going to pull a Hamaguchi/Pawlikowski and make it into director after a BAFTA nomination. Pretty much safe Avatar: The Way of Water The Banshees of Inisherin Elvis Everything Everywhere All At Once The Fabelmans Tar Top Gun: Maverick Pick three of these I guess Aftersun All Quiet on the Western Front Babylon Triangle of Sadness The Whale Women Talking Of these....I'll say All Quiet, Whale, and Women Talking. With Triangle of Sadness as my alternate pick.
-
If we were hypothetically going with 2011-2020 rules for nominations, I think it would be... All Quiet on the Western Front Avatar: The Way of Water The Banshees of Inisherin Elvis Everything Everywhere All At Once The Fabelmans Tar Top Gun: Maverick
