    On February 4, 2013, Gopher established an elite award ceremony for the top one percent of Box Office Theorists. Its purpose was to celebrate the films that may have been shunned by the AMPAS, and to ensure that the handful of winners who were selected would piss off @CJohn He succeeded. Today, Ezen Baklattan has taken over the awards ceremony with the help of The Panda. The community calls it: THE BOFFY AWARDS \__MAVERICK__/ Ceremony begins at 8pm EST.

    Imagine taking PLF screens hurt this one big time, but even a drop in the 60s isn't terrible considering Parabellum dropped 57%. Hopefully it stabilizes from here enough to get $200m.

    Hey friends. Apparently I can't recieve ANY new DMs despite having plenty of space in my inbox and not disabling anything (recieving PM nominations went fine, nothing changed since then), and I've been swamped with IRL responsibilities. For that reason, I'm delaying our deadline by one week. The ceremony will be April 9th. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience. If you still want to submit a ballot and submitted nominations, you can still reply to your original thread, at least.

    Feel like it's become kind of en vogue to take a much reviled movie from 2 or 3 decades ago and try to reclaim it as "it's good, actually!" How much of it is genuine reevaluation or nostalgia talking?

    ...I'm just learning that Spielberg, Scorsese, AND...Todd Phillips are producers on Maestro. Anyway, keeping my eye on Flint Strong (directed by Rachel Morrison, cinematographer of Black Panther and Mudbound, and written by Barry Jenkins) - production started before the pandemic and it may be coming out this year (Amazon/MGM distributing): https://www.essence.com/entertainment/ryan-destiny-flint-strong/

    From a quick glimpse, John W(IV)ck seems to be selling better on Friday night than Thursday night at the primetime showings, but everything's selling REALLY well.
