  1. What will GOTG 2 final total probably be in pound and dollar?
  2. Although a Fox Team-Up with Marvel Studios is impossible now like Feige said, @iJackSparrow mentioned that Marvel and Fox are on better terms like cooperating on movies, tv shows, trading characters, and thanks from both side, I have a feeling that if they continue to be on friendly terms that a team-up can become possible. I would like Wolverine and Captain America to team-up like I do Spidey and Deadpool.
  3. Oh stop it Civil War was the best accept it!
  4. Transformers 5 then probably comes on June 23, and will kill all the holdovers like what Fast and Furious 8 did with it huge opening weekend with the holdovers especially causing GITS to collapse 97 percent.
  5. Well from what various sources and people including Corpse despite them not being blockbuster numbers, the only superhero, and also Marvel one to do blockbuster numbers were the Spider-Man films.
  6. But AOU, CACW, and DS did very well with $26 million, $24 Million, and $16 Million.
  7. Well the difference with James Bond and Spider-Man, is that Sony had the distribution rights for James Bond, while they have the film production rights for Spider-Man.
  8. For Fox Side, The X-Men films also do well: Top grossing Fox Films domestically: 1 Avatar ‡ 2009 $760,507,625 2 Titanic ‡ 2 1997 $658,672,302 3 Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace ‡1 1999 $474,544,677 4 Star Wars ‡ 1977 $460,998,007 5 Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith 1 2005 $380,270,577 6 Deadpool 2016 $363,070,709 7 Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones 1 2002 $310,676,740 8 Return of the Jedi ‡ 1 1983 $309,306,177 9 Independence Day 1996 $306,169,268 10 The Empire Strikes Back ‡ 1 1980 $290,475,067 11 Home Alone 1990 $285,761,243 12 Night at the Museum 2006 $250,863,268 13 X-Men: The Last Stand 2006 $234,362,462 14 X-Men: Days of Future Past 2014 $233,921,534 15 Cast Away 2000 $233,632,142 16 Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel 2009 $219,614,612 17 Mrs. Doubtfire 1993 $219,195,243 18 Alvin and the Chipmunks 2007 $217,326,974 19 X2: X-Men United 2003 $214,949,694 20 Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014 $208,545,589 21 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 2009 $196,573,705 22 Ice Age: The Meltdown 2006 $195,330,621 23 The Croods 2013 $187,168,425 24 The Day After Tomorrow 2004 $186,740,799 25 Mr. & Mrs. Smith 2005 $186,336,279 Top Grossing Fox Films Worldwide: 1 Avatar ‡ 2009 $2,787,965,087 2 Titanic ‡ 2 1997 $2,186,772,302 3 Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace ‡1 1999 $1,027,044,677 4 Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs 2009 $886,686,817 5 Ice Age: Continental Drift 2012 $877,244,782 6 Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith1 2005 $848,754,768 7 Independence Day 1996 $817,400,891 8 Deadpool 2016 $782,612,155 9 Star Wars ‡ 1977 $775,398,007 10 X-Men: Days of Future Past 2014 $747,862,775 11 Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014 $710,644,566 12 Ice Age: The Meltdown ‡ 2006 $660,940,780 13 Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones1 2002 $649,398,328 14 The Martian 2015 $630,161,890 15 How to Train Your Dragon 2 2014 $621,537,519 16 Life of Pi 2012 $609,016,565 17 The Croods 2013 $587,204,668 18 Night at the Museum 2006 $574,480,841 19 The Day After Tomorrow 2004 $544,272,402 20 The Empire Strikes Back ‡ 1 1980 $547,969,004 21 X-Men: Apocalypse 2016 $543,934,787 22 The Revenant 2015 $532,950,503 23 The Simpsons Movie 2007 $527,071,022 24 Kung Fu Panda 3 2016 $518,924,340 25 Rio 2 2014 $500,101,972
  9. I think Sony would never give up the rights to Spider-Man by the fact his films are the highest grossing in the top ten list, which means the most popular franchise for them: Sony Top Grossing Worldwide Rank Title Year Worldwide gross 1 Skyfall 2012 $1,108,561,013 2 Spider-Man 3 2007 $890,871,626 3 Spectre 2015 $880,674,609 4 Spider-Man 2002 $821,708,551 5 Spider-Man 2 2004 $783,766,341 6 2012 2009 $769,679,473 7 The Da Vinci Code 2006 $758,239,851 8 The Amazing Spider-Man 2012 $757,930,663 9 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 2014 $708,982,323 10 Hancock 2008 $624,386,746 Sony Top Grossing Domestically. 1 Spider-Man 2002 $403,706,375 2 Spider-Man 2 2004 $373,585,825 3 Spider-Man 3 2007 $336,530,303 4 Skyfall 2012 $304,360,277 5 The Amazing Spider-Man 2012 $262,030,663 6 Men in Black 1997 $250,690,539 7 Ghostbusters 1984 $229,242,989 8 Hancock 2008 $227,946,274 9 The Da Vinci Code 2006 $217,536,138 10 Terminator 2: Judgment Day 1991 $204,843,345
  10. Well despite the Sony deal they still own the rights to Spider-Man evident by the fact they are making an animated Spider-Man Miles Morales movie and Venom and Silver Sable/Blackcat solo movies that are not set at all in the MCU, while Homecoming is in the MCU. For the Fox side sure they are not in Sony situation, and I'm glad they are getting better with Marvel, but still they want make their own movies, and I think Kinberg is damn serious to make another F4 property like from few months ago.
  11. No way the X-Men are coming since they are profitable for Fox and especially with Deadpool being one especially, the same for Sony keeping the Spider-Man rights since he very profitable and one of the highest grossing franchise for them. Fantastic Four is a maybe, because Kinberg has said they will continue with a Fantastic Four sequel, and a Silver Surfer movie might come.
  12. Well Lex Luthor plot is fucking stupid, but despite being a generic villain, Zemo is better.
  13. I have watched Captain America Civil War and Deadpool over 100 times and they are still rewatchable while BVS 7 times.
  14. From Corpse of WOKJ: Weekend Actuals (05/06-07) 01 (01) ¥893,126,000 ($7.9 million), -20%, ¥6,695,679,400 ($59.5 million), Beauty and the Beast (Disney) WK3 02 (03) ¥478,193,700 ($4.3 million), -18%, ¥5,393,184,100 ($48.3 million), Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter (Toho) WK4 03 (02) ¥462,964,800 ($4.1 million), -27%, ¥2,520,899,300 ($23.0 million), The Fate of the Furious (Toho-Towa) WK2 04 (---) ¥226,992,500 ($2.0 million), 0, ¥226,992,500 ($2.0 million), Memory (Toho) NEW 05 (04) ¥224,549,800 ($2.0 million), +05%, ¥936,807,700 ($8.3 million), Teiichi: Battle of Supreme High (Toho) WK2 06 (06) ¥154,189,700 ($1.4 million), -14%, ¥1,318,040,000 ($11.8 million), Crayon Shin-chan: Invasion!! Alien Shiriri (Toho) WK4 07 (---) ¥96,000,000 ($847,000), 0, ¥279,000,000 ($2.5 million), The Last Cop: The Movie (Shochiku) NEW 08 (05) ¥95,125,900 ($839,000), -50%, ¥630,186,100 ($5.6 million), Blade of the Immortal (Warner Bros.) WK2 09 (07) ¥69,585,700 ($614,000), +01%, ¥4,926,007,500 ($44.1 million), Sing (Toho-Towa) WK8 10 (---) ¥53,888,700 ($476,000), 0, ¥53,888,700 ($476,000), Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry (Gaga) NEW >Beauty and the Beast easily retains its position atop the box office, delivering the 8th biggest third weekend of all-time and the 4th biggest three week total of all-time with the major boost it received from Golden Week this past week. After three weeks in release, the film has sold 4,731,206 admissions. Disney's latest live-action re-imagining will continue to dominate the box office for awhile, perhaps for the remainder of the month, and is well on its way to exceeding the ¥10 billion ($90 million) milestone. As long as it's able to withstand the post-Golden Week decline over the next couple weeks, I expect a total around ¥11/12 billion ($100/105 million) and 8 million admissions. >Detective Conan: Crimson Love Letter climbs back to second place in its fourth weekend of release, and exceeded the ¥5 billion milestone over the weekend. Detective Conan films fall quickly after Golden Week, but the 21st entry in the long-running franchise is targeting a total around ¥6.5 billion (~$60 million), setting another record for the franchise - for the fifth consecutive year. There's a very good chance it'll be 2017's highest-grossing animated film. >The Fate of the Furious had one of the biggest drops over the weekend, though it's noticeably stronger than any of its predecessors, and thanks to healthy Golden Week dailies, is well on track to at least match the gross of Furious 7. There's still a fair enough chance of even outgrossing it, too, and look for a finish around ¥3.5 billion ($30 million+). >Memory, from director Yasuo Furuhata and starring Junichi Okada and Shun Oguri, debuted in fourth place over the weekend frame, selling a decent 180,246 admissions across 296 screens. The debut is nothing to get too excited about, but it is enough to guarantee yet another ¥1 billion ($10 million) earner for distributor Toho, and 2017. >Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry, the second film based on the Fairy Tail anime/manga, managed to earn itself a debut in the Top 10, selling 42,771 admissions on 101 screens. A debut in the Top 10 was looking doubtful, and with a barely wide theater count, its chances were pretty slim, yet fans and distributor should be satisfied. >Moana fell out of the Top 10 in its ninth weekend of release, but with the boost it received from Golden Week, it has exceeded the ¥5 billion ($45 million) blockbuster milestone. >Your Name. is still in release, and although it's not earning much these days, it's still making enough to be tracked. After 37 weeks in release now, Makoto Shinkai's uber-blockbuster has grossed ¥24,942,120,000 ($235.8 million) and has sold 19,215,629 admissions.
  15. Spider-Man Homecoming and Thor Ragnorak will do better than GOTG 2 in Brazil for sure.
