Yall think they'll announce the cast for this at NYCC this weekend? It's been forever. -
Saw this last night and I liked it pretty well. Every second Tatiana Maslany isn't on the screen the film drags though.

Listen, I'm a dirty slut for nostalgia projects, but the nostalgia in RPO looks so badly conceived. Nostalgia works because it reminds you of your childhood and makes you ache in your heart. The RPO trailer was so cold and corporate and unappealing. That's why IT and Stranger Things work as odes to the past - nostalgia is supposed to be warm and fuzzy like hot chocolate. The RPO trailer felt like ice water.

Honestly, this was one of the best theater-going experiences I've had in a while (along with GET OUT) and why I'm predicting major legs. People were super into it and hollering and clapping and laughing at virtually every second line. It was actually kind of exhilarating? I suspect when I catch it on demand in six months, the film's flaws will stick out way more without a raucous crowd and I'll be like, 'uh, why did I like this so much?'

With a few more days to go before its Friday release date, “It” has already broken the record as Fandango’s #1 horror pre-seller of all time, eclipsing 2011’s “Paranormal Activity 3,” and the record as Fandango’s top pre-seller among September releases, beating 2016’s “Sully.” According to a survey of more than 1,000 “It” moviegoers on Fandango: 96% have been looking forward to Fall’s fresher movie fare. 91% are fans of Stephen King. 89% were intrigued by the trailer. 85% are excited to see “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard in his big-screen debut. 73% saw the 1990 TV mini-series with Tim Curry as Pennywise. 68% claim the lack of images of the new Pennywise increased their interest. Only 57% identify themselves as true horror fans. http://pro.boxoffice.com/shatters-fandango-presales-records-horror-movies-september-releases/
