what's tragic about these reviews is it's not just 'robert downey jr is good in a bad movie' or 'rdj tries hard to save a bad movie' - it's straight up 'rdj is bad in a bad movie.'

but no one wants to see kristen stewart have fun. if you go see a kristen stewart movie, you go to watch her glare at people and look miserable and be sarcastic. no one wants to watch pamela anderson play a serious academic.

the fact that ‘a rian johnson whodunnit’ is so prominent on the poster made me laugh. he really does not have the name recognition to be pulling that shit. and i’d wager the people that DO know his name, don’t necessarily have a high opinion of him

i don’t think the problem with ezra is that he’s less talented than tom holland - it’s that the flash suits him less than spider-man suits holland. spider-man plays to all holland’s strengths - earnest, sweet, youthful. ezra really has to stretch to fit the flash. he is not the first or even the fiftieth person i’d have in mind for barry allen. now if i were casting an indie movie about a dark, edgy teenager, then ezra would be at the top of my list.
