  1. Photo finish with John Wick 3 it looks like.
  2. My money's on it's not releasing next year, or at least not in January. Book it.
  3. Indeed, a great article. Pitt sounds genuinely interested in the advanced concepts in this film. I definitely get more of an Interstellar vibe than Gravity.
  4. It Chapter Two had a pretty healthy 2nd weekend drop for a horror sequel, drawing in $39.6M for a 56.5% drop. Can it stay over $20M next weekend (49.5% drop or better)?
  5. Still a much better drop than a lot of us anticipated but slightly annoyed it fell under $40M. (It's the OCD part of me, I'm not saying it's a bad number, so no flaming please!!)
  6. Not going to lie, Rian's little blurbs with the character posters are getting me even more hyped up. This movie is going to be so much fun but I just hope the "shooting down white/American entitlement" stuff was more the critics forcing that out of the movie, rather than the movie itself being as preachy as the critics made it out to be.
  7. Geez, what shitbags those women were. Still enjoyed the movie, and I still very much sympathized with the characters up until they started drugging men and maxing out their credit cards.
  8. Ad Astra for me was the easy pick to come out on top out of the 3 wide openers on Sep 20 but tracking for this suggests it will contend with Downton Abbey for the crown. Looking forward to seeing if Sly gives js a little surprise hit here. I'm 50/50 on seeing it at the moment. This may be one of the rare instances where I check out reviews.
  9. What an epic weekend for this! One for the ages....
  10. Yeah this.....isn't doing much for me so far. I don't know. It feels like the film doesn't know what it wants to be.
  11. Tracking suggests this could end up opening pretty big. Like, $30M and winning the weekend kind of big. With Rambo apparently also tracking well next weekend should actually be pretty interesting.
  12. This will likely be the last film I check out until Joker, unless I randomly decide to see Rambo: Last Blood one afternoon for the hell of it or something. Really, really hoping it delivers. I like the cast and premise.
  13. I enjoyed this. JLo was fantastic but what I came out thinking was that she didn't exactly tower over Constance Wu. Both were really good. Liked the message this film sent too. The world is basically a strip club. You've got your dancers and you've got your people throwing money.
  14. Will be seeing this tomorrow. I don't mind the bait-and-switch, if you can call it that, because I didn't need the whole movie to be a barrel of laughs. If it's serious, then that means the main characters took the endeavour seriously, which means I the audience can take it seriously too.
  15. Good stuff. Hoping for a nice little run for this. I mean, at this point, I'm hoping for nice little runs for everything that isn't a Disney tentpoles (not that I don't root for those either). Okay, let's simplify this: I'm rooting for the box office!
  16. The CGI looks pretty bad. If it went into production just a little later it would have likely been a Disney+ exclusive.
  17. What a run! What a film! Well, it actually wasn't so much a run as a gobsmackingly gigantic opening 10 days.
  18. Death? There's an app for that. Haha Haha I love it! So, so cheezy! This is such a final weekend in October movie, that's for sure. Under $5M?
