I agree with you here. This is all the more why I admire her confidence. She's not going to play the game, even if you need to do that when it comes to the Oscars. She's just going to be genuine and let the chips fall where they may. I guess I like it because that's the way I live my life.
Exactly. Likewise for myself. I'm not going to crucify the man because the media - and the masses - tell me to. I don't have the facts. I appreciate Scarlett's confidence in having her own opinions and not giving a shit what people think. Most celebrities don't have that kind of confidence even though they're...well...celebrities. Most feel they have to tow the company line, so to speak.
ScarJo isn't being problematic. She's just giving honest, confident answers, whether we agree with her or not. Her opinions don't have to fit in a nice little box that society dictates. She stands by Woody Allen not because she stands by a pig, but because she believes in his innocence. So...let her.
Yeah I may have to amend my statement a bit. The marketing is all over social media for me (then again, following Warner Bros helps) is really good, but marketing on TV and out in public doesn't seem to be great.
I don't mind subtitles at all actually. Because of my hearing issues I use English subtitles for TV and watching blu rays anyway. I just haven't been bothered to watch many foreign films, at least in cinemas. I have Wolf Warrior 2 on blu ray and love that!
Downfall is one of my favourites as well.
Oh I realize that, but was it THIS slow this time last year? It just seems especially slow is all I'm getting at. It's quite stark. And again, I'm not surprised necessarily.
Just dawning on me that maybe why it feels like this is I myself am not as busy as I was this time last year so I've been around the boards more, which is probably why it seems that way.
Who knows? I would bet on it though. Besides, now you're just getting into complete hypothetical territory and then there's no way to answer your question. Until nations outside NA and Britain are pumping out movies that actually interest audiences worldwide, I would continue to be on worldwide hits only coming out of NA or Britain.
