  1. Cool. Been waiting for awhile to know what the "Untitled Ben Affleck movie" that's been on BOM's schedule for so long is. In fact, I notice this thread was started March 22 with a description. I wasn't even aware of that. All I knew was that there was a Ben Affleck movie coming out in October. So yeah, cool. Really different from his last several movies too.
  2. Superb start for The Lion King. Some fun tracking coming up in the weeks leading up to July 19.
  3. The thread, not the film. Like I said, I really don't care. It's just an observation.
  4. Woah, I just noticed the Like button was fixed.
  5. It's funny. Originally around $120M was what I expected for Toy Story 4. You could tell that hype wasn't that big for it and it wasn't an Incredibles 2. Then as we got closer and ultimately to preview night it did indeed seem like it was going to be a $150M+ type of opener. Then opening day came and now we've come full circle to $120M. All that to say, it feels disappointing, but not really at the same time, since this is the kind of number I originally anticipated. The Toy Story franchise has enough entries that it wasn't going to be the event that I2 was. Even Finding Dory was bigger on opening weekend because it was only the 2nd entry. This number just makes sense, and it's indeed a very good one. Disney continuing to own the year. The biggest non-Disney opening weekend this year is still Us. If we disregard Spider-Man: Far From Home, given it's an MCU film and Disney/Marvel Studios oversee the MCU, Us will more than likely remain the biggest non-Disney opening until, what? It: Chapter 2? I give Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw a chance but It 2 is the one that will for sure break Us's $71.1M.
  6. I'm guessing we'll see an OW right around $150M, give or take a few million. The internal multiplier should be right in between that of Incredibles 2 (9.88) and Finding Dory (14.68).
  7. I was just about to complain about how this movie isn't playing anywhere near me. It's too bad reading comments here on the film, though I still want to eventually see it for myself.
  8. I know, lol. I was responding to sarcasm with sarcasm. Thanks though.
  9. Thanks for this. I'm thinking the multiplier for Toy Story 4 will fall right in between Incredibles 2 and Finding Dory, which would be 12.28. Between 12 and 13 in a more broad sense. Again, talking about the multiplier here, not the preview number. Just clarifying because it looks like the preview number and multiplier are going to be roughly the same lol, and everyone here is talking about preview numbers.
  10. How accurate is Deadline usually with their late night preview estimates?
  11. Well then in that case I definitely can't see it being more audience friendly than Hereditary. For myself, even if it's a really good film I know it will be harder for me to watch, based on what I've heard (not even spoilers, just general comments on the film's tone and stuff). I don't handle blood and gore very well. However, I loved Hereditary so I'm not going to miss Ari Aster's next film, that's for sure. I'll give it a shot.
  12. Already have my ticket! I have a weird obsession with these movies. I love supernatural horrors and to think there's a cinematic universe of them!! Of course it all began with the first Conjuring. That one is still the best of the series and none really come close. It still has such a different feel from the rest. I can't describe it. What made it so eerie was that it had such a believable feel, if you will. Anyway, very much looking forward to this.
  13. Yeah, based on your comments on the script I can't imagine this being more audience friendly. I guess it depends on how you define audience friendly though. Audiences these days are weird when it comes to horror. They really don't appreciate the subtle, psychological horror of a film like Hereditary, whereas a film like Midsommar might be more brutal to watch but more audience friendly in that it's more straightforward
  14. I find it so incredibly awesome that this forum has a resident Playmobil stan! You're the man, @Gabriel Sales!
  15. What? That goes against what I heard about this not too long ago. @Blaze Heatnix what do you think?
  16. Going to go see this tomorrow afternoon while kids are still in school. Looking forward to it! Toy Story along with Star Wars was a big party of my childhood.
  17. Oof. That drop is going to be something, after the already horrendous 2nd weekend drop.
