Well, then I just see the saying, "someone's baby" differently. Not worth arguing. I will still say Gunn looks more passionate about GotG than whedon about avengers. No way to prove it.

George lucas created star wars. Joss whedon footprint is all over avengers but he didn't created it. Avatar are cameron's baby. MCU, feige. Having a style doesn't mean that film is that director's unseparable product. James Gunn comes between it, as he was passionte and was clearly more invested in gotg brand. I mean whedon is not directing avengers, his baby any more, by his own decision after such a short time.

I remember seeing titanic on vhs with my whole family. Censored version. B/w 1999-2001, In rural India. It did 55 crore rs. in 1998-99 in indian theatrical market. Hollywood movies are seen as a super hit, if they do this much today in India. I am still dumbfounded, how it managed to find this big of a audience in such a small market ( for hlwd films). No nostalgia, no big IP, just pure phenomenon. Hit in all the markets, not like other non-cameron $2 billion grossers.

Same for animated movies. I don't think china have animation blockbusters yet american animation films open small. If they are good, they become coco or zootopia.

Yeah, I don't think so. They have spend $200m on a indian made sports drama, and china have their own action movies, yet they love american action movies. Non action movies, and a non-ip import at that generally have small OW in china.

I was expecting the trailer to be bad but not this bad. And most of the people think that. We are living in post bahubali time now, people will not eat anything up. Big opening and then will fade away.
