  1. Pretty easy to see Thor: Love and Thunder and GOTG Vol 3 hit $1 Billion though yeah probably not $500M DOM. Spidey 3 is guaranteed for $1 Billion too. And Black Widow will make 2x Solo did WW.
  2. Mandalorian proves to me that Star Wars fans are actually not that hard to please when it's outside the core Skywalker Saga. Same with the reception of Rogue One too. Which bodes well for whatever they do in the future. Now they just need to get the GA on board too.
  3. With Disney moving to 4 MCU Films in 2022 and beyond (assuming it all goes to plan) and also at least one Pixar and one Disney Animation Film per year there are limited spots to put Star Wars films especially since the brand is going to be in a more rebuilding phase when the new films come out.
  4. Moff Gideon having the Darksaber can't be a great sign for the Mandalorians who we last saw on Rebels.
  5. Ooh this is gonna be good. Any chance for a reflection of your 2019 predictions too?
  6. Yeah the consensus back in 2015 was that Ultron would win the year while we weren't sure whether TFA could crack $600M or not and Jurassic World was like estimated to be $200M lol
  7. I think there's this notion that Star Wars' rightful place should be the "No 1 Franchise in the world" when it hasn't really been that way since the OT. I think some equate Star Wars utter dominance in North America to the rest of the world.
  8. It still will be a concern to Disney that Star Wars failed to expand OS when many other franchises have done so. Especially whenever the new films come out and the traditional Star Wars markets won't necessarily respond to them the way they did the sequel trilogy.
  9. Gonna be way worse when people start to finally accept he's probably not getting his trilogy anymore.
  10. Well Film Twitter loves Rian Johnson so it's no surprise that's probably the narrative that will go on there.
  11. I haven't watched as much tv as some people but Mr Robot's series finale has got to be the best I've seen in a long long time.
  12. Potter's consistency though is what made it enormous though. Pretty much most of those films would adjust to over $1 Billion today. Even as a casual fan I greatly admire those series of books/films. Would love to see a Harry Potter 9 one day. Would have a legit chance at $2 Billion.
  13. I still laugh at her Homecoming predictions saying what a disappointment it was when it hadn't even been released in Japan or China yet.
  14. Iger has to take some of blame by first promising shareholders a Star Wars film by 2015 when it wasn't even in preproduction yet and also being too aggressive with the release of Star Wars films every year when to be frank Lucasfilm and Kennedy weren't ready for it. And now we know the GA wasn't either. It wasn't like (and he knew this if you read his book) buying Marvel or Pixar which already had a infrastructure in place to make multiple movies at a time. Lucasfilm had to pretty much reconstruct its movie division under Disney.
  15. Considering their fumbling of DC this decade until just now they're turning the corner and the way The Hobbit films ended up plus now the Fantastic Beasts scenario no thanks
  16. Definitely can see a trend with JJ Abrams with how he handled both Star Wars and Star Trek. Both Star Trek (2009) and TFA while sure have their flaws introduced a great cast that had great chemistry and likeable characters too. Into Darkness and TROS meanwhile get so bogged down with trying to emulate previous films in their respective franchises and the flaws that were present in the first films start to become more apparent in the sequels.
