  1. I think this is the most anticipated film in North America for 2020 and the teaser is gonna prove that once it releases.
  2. I'm just gonna assume the person in that final shot isn't who I think it is so then be very surprised and happy if it turned out to be that character.
  3. I guess some people are hoping this to be the "Solo: A Star Wars Story" of the MCU. Plus you know some are tired of the MCU and want Phase 4 to start on a bad note.
  4. Way too much happening in that trailer but hopefully it'll be more clear in the actual film. Didn't think they were gonna make a direct sequel to Spectre but it seems like that's what they're doing. The trailer didn't seem to really play up the fact this is Daniel Craig's last Bond film maybe they'll emphasise it more in future trailers and marketing.
  5. They usually release the Thanksgiving Disney Animation Films whether Pixar or WDAS on 26th of Decemeber in Australia and NZ. They might have changed strategy with Frozen cause of proximity to TROS. Regardless its OW is great if maybe not mind blowing like what's going on in Asia.
  6. One thing I'd say is maybe they should have indicated a little bit harder where in the timeline this takes place but plenty of marketing to go for that.
  7. Nothing mind blowing but gave me solid Winter Soldier and Mission Impossible vibes which is all I ask for this film.
  8. It was nice to see sequels to Ralph and Frozen but really hope WDAS primarily sticks with originals for the 2020s. Zootopia 2 would be an exception (Frozen 3 is inevitable).
  9. Can I get a cinematic universe of these detective stories by Rian Johnson? Daniel Craig's character can be the connective tissue.
  10. Frozen II (2019) I think I like this more than the first honestly. While nothing tops the climax of the first I think it's more even throughout. The plot is pretty thin but I appreciated the film is more interested in the growth of the characters. The film is definitely more mature and serious which is reflected in the songs too (which top early to tell but I enjoy it more than the first overall). This film reminds me of GOTG Vol 2 in many ways. If I were to rank this decade of WDAS films 1. Zootopia 2. Wreck It Ralph 3. Tangled 4. Moana 5. Frozen II 6. Frozen 7. Winnie the Pooh 8. Ralph Breaks the Internet 9. Big Hero 6
  11. Frozen (2013) Unlike some other WDAS films my opinion of this film hadn't really changed upon rewatch. The plot is certainly a bit rushed and thin (the film feels oddly small compared to Tangled or Moana maybe due to the lack of different locations) but the heart of the film is so great that makes up for all the short comings. The songs get much praise but the actual score by Christophe Beck is fantastic. Anna remains one of my favourite Disney Princesses of all time and the sister bond is something we don't see explored enough in films let alone Disney films. Finally time to see the sequel tonight.
  12. Going to movie in Australia for Village Cinemas is $15AUD. Usually an extra $10 just for food and drinks. There's a smaller cinema about 5 mins from my house which has cheaper prices of as low as $8.
  13. Zootopia (2016) Up there with the very best of Disney Animation IMO. First of all the design of Zootopia itself is amazing. You could tell how much thought and detail went into the city and how the world works. More importantly though it's a fantastic combination of a classic Disney stable of having anthropomorphic creatures but actually digging deeper into the very concept about what it means for different people to live together while still being really entertaining and not overly preacher. Judy and Nick Wilde have some superb chemistry and I really hope they continue this world/story either on Disney+ or in a sequel (the film made $1 Billion damn it!) Moana (2016) Gotta admit while I liked the film on first watch I didn't consider it at the time that great compared to the more recent Disney Animation films/ But boy on rewatch my view of the film has massively gone up. Firstly I really love how much of it is all focused on Moana. Other than Maui there really isn't much of a supporting cast so you're basically with Moana for the whole film but it doesn't matter since I loved her character journey and progression as a hero. Next up finally the first Frozen and then Frozen II on Opening Day in Australia.
  14. Very impressive to see Frozen 2 do this well. Cement's itself as the biggest animation franchise (at least OS).
  15. Frozen 2 is on track to become the biggest animated film of all time worldwide what a failure (I don't count TLK though technically it should be I suppose)
  16. I too am wondering the timeline as to when the "Purge" happened though I'm sure it'll be eventually explained either in the show itself or in a book or comic. Episode itself was great even though I don't think anyone questioned that Mando was gonna go back for Baby Yoda. Didn't expect the Mandalorians to come in an rescue the day but I do like how the show has something more going on than just random bounty hunter missions. I also maybe fanboyed way too hard at that Clone Wars flashback. I'm sure Filoni got a kick from depicting that era in live action after spending so long doing it in animation.
