  1. So @Plain Old Tele @4815162342does this mean we have seven more we can add to our showing list? 😂😂😂😂
  2. The link is a pdf of a letter Disney sent to a councilman and it specifically mentioned celebrity interviews. Also no mention of PA
  3. Jaws and Superman are way too low. They were legit my #3 and #2, respectively. Not on Top Ten?! 😱 Very interesting. Excited to see what comes next now.
  4. Again, I maintain: This is either going to be a train wreck and I’m gonna be entertained for two hours. or, This is going to be a gladiator-esque awesome movie with Joustng, and I’m going to be entertained for two hours So this feels like a win-win
  5. @Porthos I mean, I can spam the thread everyday with zero tickets sold, but I don't want to clutter up the space.
  6. Doing a quick drive way: Thursday Regal Old: 9 (2 Showings) Snake Eyes: 5 (1 Showing) Upcoming Thursday Regal: Jungle Cruise: 4 (5 Showings) THE Suicide Squad: 19 (4 Showings) Thursday Falmouth Snake Eyes: 0 (1 Showing) Old: 3 (1 Showing) Upcoming Thursday Falmouth: Jungle Cruise: 0 (1 Showing) THE Suicide Squad: 0 (1 Showing) Hmm. Yeah, confirmation I don't need to track anytime before the day of LOL.
  7. THIS WEEK: MONDAY WEDNESDAY 9:30PM Our finale John Ford picture of the month is The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. James Stewart -- who'd never been in a Ford picture before -- leads an ensemble of the Ford Stock Company including John Wayne (She Wore A Yellow Ribbon), Vera Miles (The Searchers), Andy Devine (Stagecoach), John Carradine (The Grapes of Wrath), and Woody Strode (Sergeant Rutledge). This is one of Ford's last Westerns (his official is Cheyenne Autumn) and poignantly deals with changing societal values, The Death of the Old West, and Facts verse Legends. Bonus: features a crazy performance by Lee Marvin. SATURDAY 2:30PM As we transition from Traditional Westerns, we meet our new Hero: The Man With No Name. Fistful of Dollars is Clint Eastwood's first starring role and collaboration with Sergio Leone. The Spaghetti Western is an unauthorized remake of Kurosawa's Yojimbo and the first of his "Dollars Trilogy". SUNDAY 2:30PM William Holden leads a cast of aging gunslingers looking for one final score in The Wild Bunch. It was considered rather controversial for its time due to its depictions of violence.
  8. We need a whole movie of them hanging out 🥺
  9. But that‘s 44 weeks and there are 52 Weeks In the year 🤔🤔🤔🤔😘😘😘😘😘
  10. The irony of this statement is I'm seeing Widow again tonight cause Mom wants to see it. And she wouldn't go with my the first time. And fighting with her about how "I'm good, thanks" is not worth it, so we're going. #supportyourlocalcinema So, anyway, I don't think I can stress enough how much Black Widow got fucked with its delay. The movie was supposed to come out in May 2020. It was supposed to be a finale send off for Natasha after Endgame. In that timeline, it works. We're still very much in Fandom's Anger/Depression/Bargain Stages of Grief. Natashas fans were still VERY heated about her dying in the Endgame; there was still a hint or crazy hope that "she could return somehow". Right? But now it's been two years and Fandom's reached Acceptance. And many have moved on. Scanning the social media sites like twitter and tumblr in the past two weeks the discussions been dominated by Loki. When it's not, people are talking about Yelena not Natasha. There's not a lot of "I'm going back to rewatch it" -- or even "I've watched it a bunch of times on Disney+". The MCU does so well because is has amazing and passionate fans that do repeating viewings. If the overall attitude is Black Widow was a "one and done", that explains the C R U M b l iiinggg second weekend. Add in the Premium Access option, and you might as well lower that coffin six feet under. I don't know what this will mean for Shang-Chi or Eternals. I do know, I'm not really shocked by any of this. Nor am I ready to write off Cinemas As DEAD. Space Jam's off to a good start, and F9 is speeding along. People -- when they have the ability, COVID still exists -- have been going back to the movies. Only slowly. It's going to be a very long five months to December. ETA: Not going to double post, but We've started our Western today and you should join in: Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5423825182?pwd=T1VuUmJ5OVB1ZjRNQmNHRVpDQ3lkUT09 Meeting ID: 542 382 5182 Passcode: BOT
