If it wasn’t before, this being a monster hit is officially a foregone conclusion. I don’t know if I would personally consider that to be a promising sign for the future of the genre, or Hollywood in general, though. It’ll likely just convince Hollywood to continue pushing forward with their fixation on nostalgia.
So, assuming she’s in it, I guess Taylor Swift will be this movie’s equivalent to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in NWH? At least in terms of being a thing that the marketing keeps teasing fans about without outright revealing it?
I’m sure he doesn’t, but that was never my point.
To be clear, my initial comment was referring to the fact that there’s been a recent stigma against nudity and sex scenes in movies. A lot of Gen Z viewers have been speaking out against it in recent years.
What I was getting at was that if this movie did have sex and nudity in it, then it would’ve inspired more of those annoying debates.
