  1. It’s not like they removed the dislike button. People are still free to dislike videos. It’s just no longer visible to the public.
  2. I used to be against YouTube’s decision to make the dislikes private, but looking back, that was probably one of the rare occasions where they had the right idea.
  3. Is every CBM this year going to have their threads derailed into a Taylor Swift discussion at some point?
  4. This thread is somehow a bigger shitshow now than it was before the trailer dropped.
  5. I mean that I don’t know why they’d even go through the trouble of adapting such a controversial character if they’re gonna radically change her anyway. Might as well have not even bothered in the first place.
  6. It sounds like they’re completely removing Ruth Sabra’s connections to the IDF. Frankly though, this does beg the question of why they didn’t just have her be a different character entirely.
  7. So the scoopers were off by a single day. I’d like to think Disney did that on purpose.
  8. I’m guessing this will get a trailer in the Fall, followed by Thunderbolts in December and Fantastic Four with the Super Bowl.
  9. It seems like the simple choice would be Robert Rodriguez.
  10. Never denied that conservatives have a long-standing stigma against rap. I just thought they were willing to make exceptions for the rappers who say what they want to hear.
  11. Wouldn’t conservatives be more likely to like the song, given that it’s Kanye? Or do they hate him now?
  12. Hopefully this simply means that they’re gonna wait a little longer to release it. Releasing it less than two months after the previous movie was always a weird idea.
  13. Why would anyone think putting a Kanye song in your trailer is a good idea in 2024? It also seems distinctly hypocritical coming from Paramount. To be clear, I’m not saying this will negatively impact the movie. It’s just a bafflingly tone-deaf idea, given all of Kanye’s controversies over the past few years. Then again, I suppose Paramount is pretty good at not reading the room.
  14. That’s earlier than a lot of other big studio movies this year. I guess they’re pretty confident.
  15. This is definitely the movie of 2024 that I’m most interested in following the box office for.
  16. Ah, one of those billionaire families. Lovely… Well, at least it wasn’t Sony.
  17. How much money did Skydance have that they were able to essentially buy a major Hollywood studio? Anyway, one would hope that this will be the last of these big Hollywood mergers, but that’s probably too optimistic.
  18. I wouldn’t say you need to, but it does tie-in with the second film in certain ways.
  19. The trades sure do have it out for this movie and Megalopolis. I wonder why…
