  1. Ray Fisher has been very clear that he won’t return to DC unless either Snyder is involved, or Walter Hamada issues an apology.
  2. How much would the first movie have made if it got these kinds of reviews?
  3. All of these set photos are giving me flashbacks to 2015, when the first Suicide Squad was filming. No, I don’t mean that in a negative way. It just takes me back is all I’m saying.
  4. J.K. Rowling is certainly not far-right. I’m pretty sure that the creators of South Park are more right-wing than she is, and even they have been making fun of the alt-right in recent years. No, I don’t think J.K. Rowling is justified when it comes to trans issues. However, the responses she’s been getting for it aren’t doing anyone any favors. All it’s really accomplished is making her look like a victim. She’s less likely to see the error of her ways if her detractors are threatening her. If people want to show Rowling how ignorant she’s being, threatening her and calling her a female dog are not the ways to go about it. Criticizing her is fine, but you have to remember that she’s still human at the end of the day.
  5. Not that I’m defending Disney, but between a hybrid release or delaying this movie again, I prefer that they went with the former. This movie really isn’t worth holding up the rest of the Phase 4 lineup.
  6. Good thing Scarlett Johansson seemed to be done working with Marvel anyway.
  7. I guess WB isn’t the only studio that’s been pissing off people in Hollywood.
  8. Well, we already have John Wick in Fortnite, so it’s not like WB is an outlier for this.
  9. People were apprehensive about Zack Snyder being the Kevin Feige of the DC movieverse before BvS was even released. MoS was a divisive movie and it caused a lot of people to be skeptical about BvS. I don’t find it remotely surprising that WB is done working with Snyder, but I wish I had a good idea of what the hell they’re trying to do at this point. Contrary to what a lot of people liked to claim, Snyder did have a plan laid out for the DC universe. He had a clear endpoint in mind, but those plans fell apart after BvS was released. At this point though, I’m not sure if WB has any clue what direction they’re going on. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for anything.
  10. It’s still more brutal than anything you’re likely to find in a PG-13 movie.
  11. It has a lot of f-bombs and there’s a scene where someone’s face gets peeled off.
  12. If WB was willing to sign on Patty Jenkins for a third movie after WW84, there’s hope for James Gunn yet. Besides, he has that Peacemaker show coming up.
  13. This movie had a Red Band trailer. That’s a pretty big differentiation.
  14. If someone had told me four years ago that the sequel to Suicide Squad would be well received, while the sequel to Wonder Woman would piss a lot of people off, I wouldn’t have believed them.
  15. Is that last scene supposed to be the “Chewie, we’re home” moment?
  16. I guess it’s because out of all the big blockbusters coming out this year, this one has the most “prestige” associated with it.
  17. @dudalb Is it really necessary to make multiple posts just to say the same thing?
  18. I’m aware of the 2014 DC slate. You’re not presenting any new information to me here. My point is that JL was not going to be a single story that would be split into two parts. Snyder had a five movie story arc planned that would’ve culminated in JL3. A more apt comparison would be to bring up how Lionsgate tried to split the final Divergent book into two movies, only for part two to never get made. If Dune doesn’t get a sequel, then it would be in the same boat as that.
