TSS and Peacemaker are tied to the DCEU. Jason Momoa and Ezra Miller even show up as their DCEU characters at one point. If the goal is to do a hard reboot to distance themselves from what came before, that stuff has to go too. Besides, TSS flopped, and the audience response to it wasn’t really that great. The DCEU in general had failed to leave an impression during Walter Hamada’s run.

I’m glad that Gunn seemingly isn’t doing what I feared, which is keeping his stuff from the DCEU canon, while ignoring everything else, but I’m not sure where that leaves the Suicide Squad related shows that are being made. Maybe those shows will explain it.

I find it fascinating how these studios are apparently willing to risk their actors going on strike, just so they won’t have to pay their writers. Bunch of scumbags. I sincerely hope the SAG strikes now. -

The comics side of Marvel has gone out of its way to do things that mimic what’s going in the films. That was why they replaced the white Nick Fury with Nick Fury Jr.

It’s weird that WB would try to spite Nolan by scheduling their movie on the same date as his, while also reportedly trying to court him back. Then again, nothing WB does nowadays should surprise me.

Does it feel a bit sad to anyone that Batman is able to have a bajillion standalone movies that don’t involve other DC properties, but Superman can’t? This is going to be the first “solo” Superman movie in over a decade, and they’re already making a big deal out of how it’s going to set up a larger DC Universe, and how other notable DC heroes will be in it.

RDJ has seemingly made it clear recently that Iron Man was mostly just a paycheck for him, and that he wasn’t especially passionate about it. Of course, that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t come back if they offered him a lot of money, but would it really be worth it if he’s just going to phone it in?

If randos on Twitter want to believe there’s no CGI in his films, that’s their fault. Nolan has never claimed something like that.
