Shes a joke. She said early in black panthers run that if it truly wanted to be special it would need to make 2B. And she insists that the numbers are soft overseas because of the domestic/overseas split percentage wise even though BP made more overseas than the vast majority of MCU movies sans team ups.

BLACK PANTHER | 646.8 M overseas ● 1346.9 M worldwide
YLF replied to kayumanggi's topic in International Box Office
so... is this reaching 700M domestic or not... its only 12M away -
They changed it yesterday. You can't watch a movie you already watched on moviepass again. They didnt email about it, but they updated it on their terms of service. You have to update the app in order to see movies you have already seen blocked out. Also, they said if you use the service without updating the app your account will be closed.

Moviepass and its Impact on the Box Office
YLF replied to The Wild Eric's topic in Box Office Discussion
There was legitimate fraud with people going to theaters and purchasing tickets not seeing the movie solely for the rewards points, but not letting them check in to the same movie won't really prevent that. Its dumb. I saw BP a lot of times with my movie pass and watched it every single time. -
Fuck this movie. I wake up early and check if theres seats at the theater near me that has the new LED screen by sony in Los Angeles. Theres only one auditorium that has the screen. Theres 20 seats available when I wake up at 8am. I take 15 mins to get there... and all the fucking seats are gone. FML. I have moviepass so couldn't buy it online

Avengers Infinity War Part 1 (2018)
YLF replied to baumer's topic in Review That Movie! (Spoilers Allowed)
Im pretty sure proximity of the movie releases doesn't matter given that captain marvel is opening next march and avengers opens in May, barring some date change. From what we know she'll have much more of a role than BP did in avengers 3 & 4 combined. Not saying BP "deserved" to have a big role, his role in this movie was disappointing to BP fans especially since the marketing heavily featured BP and co in the trailers. Its a bit deceptive, especially if bp was your first MCU movie. -

Do you think we’ll get subscription offers from theater chains in the future? Similar to the uk? -
Moviepass and its Impact on the Box Office
YLF replied to The Wild Eric's topic in Box Office Discussion
This is exactly why they had people start signing up for annual subscriptions and that was the only option. The people on the monthly sub will eventually cancel because Im sure this isnt the last thing they'll do to fuck their subscribers. So glad Im month-to-month. -

Yeah, but if I wasn't on this forum I would not have known, though. When you open up the app theres no mention of it. You literally have to be checking the TOS. There should be a warning on it so people don't get banned -
Moviepass and its Impact on the Box Office

Look at section 2.3... its once per movie. Not even just once a week for the same movie. They should limit it. but not make it one. I think people could live with that more. You can't go from infinite to fucking one LMAO. like, wtf? -

Im confused about this. So, you can't see the same movie in one week... or you only can see the movie ONCE EVER?! They should at least have limited the rewatches instead of saying you can only watch it once. Thats dumb. I mean there are people that freaking watch a movie 20 times, so it makes sense. they should make the limit like 5 or something. Which is reasonable for the same film.
