    Its actually doing pretty well presale wise near me. Burbank 16 first dolby showing is almost sold out. This is faster than deadpool.

    glancing at the AMC app for this and its def not as busy as it was on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday in LA for AMC at least. On Tuesday there were a lot of "almost sold out" shows. AMC puts a little tag there when showings are close to being sold out.

    Thats true. Also, I heard of people using MP to go to premium showings for movies. They would just pay the remaining balance with is not allowed according to MP. So it prob helps with that too. The thing is I've heard of people sending in pics... and its fine then the app asks them again for the same ticket stub a week later. So, they end up getting banned bc they didnt have the stub anymore.

    Same near me. AMC has $5 dollar 2D movie Tuesdays and premium showings(dolby, imax) are only 10-12 dollars(they usually are 22-24 dollars near me) depending on the theater for premium AMC stubs members. Im sure thats helping.

    I feel like such an outlier with this film. I actually liked it. I thought it could've been 10-15 mins shorter, but I liked that it kept having me guess whether she was working for the russians or the US towards the end. I had no idea which one. It wasn't a predictable film at all.

    Im saying Id rather have BP beat it domestically and thats disturbing? There was a poster that didnt want BP to beat frozen in WW gross. I didnt consider that disturbing, she/he was just a fan of the film and wanted it to remain in the top 10 for as long as possible. I want BP to be top 3 dom for at least a year. Seriously, its not that deep. Im just a fan of the movie.

    Id rather A4 take it. I don't loathe AIW. I would just like BP to be top 3 DOM for at least a year. Its not that deep. AIW will be this years biggest performer WW most likely.

    IW is still selling extremely well near me. Idk if its the deals for tues but given the numbers from yesterday I don't think thats the reason. Premium formats are selling well, too - like dolby

    Deadpool and Solo won't cut into its legs the week 4-5? It should get to 600M or near 600M by the 4th weekend, but won't it be hard after that with 2 movies that will be opening wide?

    But solo opens the weekend after DP2, so it'll get dinged twice in weekends 4-5. Will it be able to hold onto the screens necessary?

    Black Panther had the most random people praising the movie. Hillary Clinton, Elizabeth Warren, etc. I saw this older white woman that watched the movie from my gym(she's very liberal and keeps up with politics) at one of the many showings I went to for black panther. I doubt she will be seeing Infinity War. It had legs because it brought in so many different demographics age/race/gender wise. Even BP's opening weekend had an almost even gender split. IW had a large gap between male and female.

    Yeah, they had so much confidence in him before TLJ opened that they gave him a trilogy. That should show you how much Disney/Kathleen loved what he brought to the film and expected everyone else to as well. Unfortunately, that didnt pan out as planned for them.
