  1. so the December release that will get a picture nomination is 1917 over Little Women? not what I was expecting in the least... hopefully the DGA and the Academy members come to their senses and nominate Greta
  2. the best thing to come out of tonight's nominations
  3. Joker will win at the globes and irishman will win at the oscars and twitter will have a meltdown. the Academy isn't ready yet to award more deserving movies like Parasite.
  4. no little women in drama and no Hustlers in comedy is a travesty. also Two Popes over Ford v Ferrai in drama is interesting. they still loved Bale enough to nominate him in actor tho.
  5. Todd Philips over Noah and Greta is one of the worst choices of the evening. (after the Zendaya snub).
  6. "but the globes will not go for the popular options" "it's nothing like BR!!!"
  7. LMAO DID LION KING GOT NOMINATED IN ANIMATION??
  8. So what was the point of downplaying his performance
  9. So if he was in your top 10 performances of the year, you wouldn’t find those bitching about his snubs annoying ?
  10. I'm confident Joker will do well with the globes, watch it becoming an upset for drama over the irishman for a win (ala BR last year)
  11. I didn't even notice Toronto critics winners was going up but happy for another Lupita sweep!
  12. last year Burning was a runner up to Roma, I'm guess it will between Irishman and Parasite this year.
  13. Parasite Runner-up for Production Design is so worth it holy shit. I hope it gets an Oscar nod
  14. I think it can get nominated but beating Toy Story 4 will be very tough, it doesn't have the luxury of being based on a popular character like Spider-Verse last year. let's see how it does with the globes tho
  15. it could go like Three Billboards where Sam Rockwell kept cleaning up precursors and critics circles but on Oscars night they nominated both him and Woody Harrelson
  16. it was nice to see Yorgos win director (and picture), the UK release for the Favorite was Jan 1st 2019 so it was eligible for this year.
