so apparently Portrait of a Lady on Fire is eligible for the globes (despite not being submitted for the Oscars) so I'll put it in my predictions.
also Golden Globes nominations are this Monday at 5 AM ET.
I think Joker will be this year's Bohemian Rhapsody so it should do well with the globes. I wouldn't be shocked if it also beat The Irishman at the drama globe.
Bong missing the directors support from critics that Cuaron had last year is disappointing.
I can see the DGA going to Tarantino or Scorsese, same for the Academy and the globes.
wider release is next february, I think Portrait could've pulled a Cold War this year if it had a stronger push. (and if obviously was chosen as France's entry)
