Tbf, I honestly wouldn't make it a big deal either but I've seen the movie used as a franchise war thing on r/boxoffice. It's hard to forget about it when so many upvoted comments says "BoP sucks and had the worst performance in this history of movies" just to start a fan war. But I realised how toxic that place actually is and rarely go there since those kinds of posts started coming out. Waste of time to argue with those trolls. This meme pretty much summarises how much of a toxic place it is when a superhero movie releases:

I didn't find the violence to be bad either. I think the stuff that was dark was implied (mostly to do with rape) and also the scene I talk about in the spoiler box above (for some reason it's always placed at the top on mobile website).

If you're talking about dark/uncomfortable scenes, there are only two and neither of them involve Harley really. Not enough to turn people away from watching it imo but I'm clearly biased.

Dark Phoenix is 1000x time worse than CA and BoP combined. Hell, even Dark Fate was a decent movie that didn't do further brand damage.

I'm really happy with this but I think there needs to be a comicbook movies thread or something because otherwise the forum will explode. There are clearly a lot of people who talk about comicbook movies on here (myself included) and I think a less toxic, more stricter comicbook/superhero movie thread would be let people talk about that.

Jojo is the 2nd worst BP nominee in the past decade but I'm thinking there will be a rivalry between Parasite and 1917 stans causing both films to not win. Parasite stans give Parasite no.1 ranking but give 1917 the lowest ranking and 1917 stans do the opposite.

I expect a good drop. It's still valentine's/president's day weekend either way. I doubt it's having a drop above 50%. You can't say "the movie will have really bad WoM" just because 50 people didn't have any reaction to the movie. I also doubt OS legs will be worse than Shazam which had worse WoM OS and Endgame towards the end of its run.

Great to see that my number 1 film of 2019 is the forum's number 1 film of 2019. Also pretty happy with this considering that many people here haven't seen the movie.

With the presales for Friday looking depressing too and the BS I'm saying on this forum right now like "maybe this movie should have been rated G" and "maybe they should have made Harley Quinn a one dimensional sex object" and "the movie should have been a completely different, studio driven movie (clearly some people here think they should have made decisions based on what audiences and the studio will like)", I'm probably going to leave the forum for a while because I'm just going to spend too much time arguing with these people otherwise. I might return next weekend if numbers look good but idk, it's just pretty depressing to see a movie I love being rejected by so many people. Im definitely not going on r/boxoffice until The Invisible Man (a film I'm excited for) comes out because that shithole is a mess right now. I will probably look at the BOT top 25 of 2019 sometime later this week but that's it.

Anyone wanting to see how Harley should be done should watch the new movie. It's brilliant.

If they do make a GCS movie after a well liked Suicide Squad movie, will it do better than this movie or is this basically the end of this version of Harley Quinn outside of any Suicide Squad sequels.

So should have done everything to make it not the good film we got.

What a terrible trailer. I think the movie will be a lot of fun but it will probably be another horror flop.

Although I'd say its probably justified, maybe we shouldn't panic just yet? Even with a lower OD, the movie is looking at a higher OW in both France and Germany. Asia is dead but it's not just because of the movie itself. I doubt the movie is surpassing Shazam DOM but I think we should wait until either Deadline early Friday numbers or Jat Friday numbers.
