  1. Like I said before, it's just money I'm being paid from a summer internship. Probably gonna finish with 10k after tax. Most of it is going to end up being unused anyways (since I'm still financially dependent on my parents) so I'm just looking to invest some of my money for fun and experiment and try to learn something about investing before I start getting serious about it when I do get a proper job and become financially independent in a few years. Most of my friends are investing in S&P 500 but idk if that's a good idea with the recession and everything.
  2. It's a summer internship and I won't be getting any income for another year after this. Was thinking of investing once I finish my internship just cuz I don't really have much else to do with it atm and I don't have much to spend it on.
  3. Anyone here familiar with investing? Got my first job this month and my payday is coming soon and hoping to invest some of my money. No clue where and when to start, espescially with this recession talk. Tried looking on the internet and I just got more confused. So would be great if anyone got any tips or advice on what to do.
  4. There was nothing wooden about JDW's performance in Tenet.
  5. Even if the movie gets dumped to streaming, it still exists with Ezra lol. Like what difference is it going to make morally or publicity-wise if it goes to streaming? It's going to make a massive difference financially tho. If this movie is half decent, it will most likely make a profit from a theatrical release, with or without Ezra. The best decision morally right decision here is to either to cancel the movie and throw it into the WB vault for no one to ever see, or spend more money to reshoot Ezra (which would still be a more profitable decision than dumping it on streaming).
  6. Financially speaking, the movie is more likely to make a profit by spending another $100 mil to recast and reshoot all of Miller's scenes than by sending it straight to streaming (which would also have long term effects for the franchise).
  7. Would not be surprised if most people catching the last couple WDAS and Pixar films on D+ has pretty much caused most people to just end up watching every one of these upcoming films on D+.
  8. Ummm, months before Eternals came out, there were reports of Feige being blown away by it and it being a potential Oscar contender lol. No one knew it would be bad until like the week of social media embargo lifting. There weren't really reports of Doctor Strange being mid months before too.
  9. Rewatched the final scene in Godzilla 2014 and everyone cheering for Godzilla is a better moment than anything that comes after it in this franchise.
  10. Pretty sure they shot a full-fledged musical number imitating Diamonds are a girl's best friend for it, which ended up butchered in the final cut.
  11. Kinda annoyed that WB practically cut out the musical bits from Birds of Prey after this announcement lol.
  12. You should've gone to an IMAX screening before it lost them. Pretty larger chance of them showing the Avatar trailer there.
  13. She's better in that one DTV action movie than some actresses that lead big blockbusters these days.
  14. I can give tamil recs. Outside of Mani Ratnam (top 5 filmmaker for me) who @grim22 recommended, I also recommend films from Shankar (makes big, campy action films), Mysskin (if you want something darker), Vetrimaaran (basically considered the Tamil Martin Scorsese), Hari (smaller scale, campy action films with a lot of family melodrama), Selvaraghan, KS Ravikumar. I would also look up films starring and written by Kamal Hassan. He's one of the best actors in India and the films he has written are impeccable. Hey Ram, Virumaandi, Thevar Magan, Dasavatharam would be great place to start. He directed the first two films mentioned too. Would avoid his comedies tho because their jokes are really dependent on knowing tamil. It's a shame because some of them are some of the funniest films I have ever seen.
  15. I remember my cousin showing Magadheera to me as a kid. Did not have a good experience tho, because he said it's super gory (I don't think it was rn) and I ended up being scared for most of its runtime. Wanna get around to watching Maryada Ramanna (pretty sure I watched it's tamil remake before) sometime. Heard it's Rajamouli's best film.
  16. The Rock does seem passionate about this but at the same time sounds like he knows nothing about what he's talking about.
  17. Read the wikipedia on the production of the first Jurassic World and Brad Bird was the cause for all of this???
