  1. Unless an actual civil war breaks out, there's gonna be no impact lol.
  2. I keep getting ads about how my dick is small
  3. I don't see how not paying residuals is going to save a lot of money. Isn't the amount they're spending on residuals pocket change compared to the amount of debt they're in? Selling off a division of their company would save more money than this nonsense.
  4. According to Vanity Fair writer David Canfield, this was heavily recut after the Cannes screening. Hopefully it's still good like Ad Astra (which also had a complicated post-production).
  5. Really only discovered his work recently (saw Untouchables years ago but didn't know he wrote it) after watching Ronin a few weeks ago. A little surprised his directorial efforts aren't as well known as the films he's just written, but I do guess the films he directed are less accessible. The two I saw are Homicide and Spartan. Both wonderfully directed (some insanely blocked oners in the latter espescially). Homicide quite possibly one of the most interesting films I've seen on Jewish identity (captures this almost contradicatory element to it) ever.
  6. I think I'm getting Mamet-pilled. Not only an excellent writer, but an excellent director. Spartan is an INSANE movie.
  7. I took me two years to finish watching Breaking Bad while it took me two weeks to finish watching Better Call Saul. Honestly, half the reason BCS kept me hooked is because I was more interested in Jimmy's and Kim's relationship more than anything in BB.
  8. MGM clearly lost something once De Luca and his team left lol. Like, fucking Cyrano got more marketing than this lmao.
  9. Better Call Saul finale was amazing, kinda felt like something Soderbergh would make. Preferred it to Breaking Bad's melodramatic finale.
  10. They got the movie trailer guy to narrate the Heat 2 audible lol.
  11. Pretty sure the studio buys this award, but this is still funny. Don't know who most of the cast is and the two biggest stars have been in like one other thing.
  12. I don't think $700 mil is actually a flop btw. I was just joking because the guy is just making shit up about people calling it a flop.
  13. Mangold's a solid enough director. Easily can be something akin to Top Gun Maverick (but likely not reaching those heights).
  14. Watching ET again this weekend for the IMAX re-release. Probably will end up placing higher on rewatch.
  15. This seems like a poorly organized move on so many levels, but honestly, as someone who barely watches new streaming shows (literally the only new shows I watch atm are from linear HBO), I'm ok with subscribing to the new service as long as it carries over the same backlog as HBO Max currently does. Like I just need WB movie backlog, TCM, Ghibli and the pre-2015 Cartoon Network stuff.
  16. The Rock is never playing the big bad lol. He literally requires his movies to have him get punched/hurt a specific number of times and probably requires that his character wins at the end of the movie. The only way this would work is if the final movie of the franchise is something like Infinity War.
