  1. If anyone's in the bay area, there's a Matrix screening with live orchestra (with Don Davis) happening next month.
  2. Nah, it's consistently going down. Probably just wasn't updated yet for the other person.
  3. Will not happen with verified audience score. Anything below 80% RT audience score would be abysmal (and unlikely) for this.
  4. Dolby re-release would be better than IMAX (the Godfather remaster was beautiful on Dolby).
  5. Why'd The Rock post the trailer in the wrong aspect ratio? Made it look so much worse. I guess this seems more fun than Jungle Cruise and feels a bit closer to Serra's previous stuff, but this film just looks so ugly.
  6. Nah, they didn't fail miserably. I mean if you want vapid weightless action with no tension or scale you can stick to Roland Emmerich films or the film this post is about.
  7. Nah, Aaron Taylor Johnson serves his role fine. He's just a surrogate for the audience. If you get past that, it's a fantastic disaster pic with some actual tension. Closer to a Spielberg Jurassic Park film than any of the JW films too if anything.
  8. This isn't anywhere close to the kind of reviews the Transformers movies got. The main criticisms of those movies wasn't that they were boring.
  9. It is not the best looking JP movie when there are not 1 but 2 films directed than Spielberg. Like it's easily better looking than anything after JP 2 but nothing in it comes close to Kaminski's and Cundey's composition.
  10. That's not true tho. Pretty sure this is the first time we've gotten official confirmation about a finished script.
  11. Would probably be less boring if they made this a straight up survival flick.
  12. Thought that was John Krasinski honestly. Character looks modelled exactly after him too.
  13. Don't want to start that previous argument again, but just wanted to say I wasn't one of them. I said theaters aren't going to die and day-and-date won't stick for months. I even said the 17-day window won't stick and that was true for the most part. So don't say I am dead wrong without knowing what I said.
  14. Dude, I talk all about movies and I literally didn't know about when The Batman is going to streaming until like it's 2nd weekend. But sure, I'm pretty sure the majority of the movie-going population knew that Batman has 45-day window and Top Gun has a 120-day window on their opening weekends.
  15. But Black Widow was a different situation in regards to pandemic and people willing to go to the movies. And obviously day and date will affect a film's gross by a lot more than a 45-day window. I can give you that it would've made a 30% difference then (which also aligns with that BW number).
  16. Disney is doing fine, Universal is doing fine, Paramount had their best year in years (even taking out Top Gun), and WB's change in executives had more to do with a huge multi-billion dollar merger. In the indie side, A24 had their biggest film ever with a short 45-day window.
  17. All I am asking for is an argument based on even simple math here instead of touting out random numbers.
  18. Announced April 11: https://deadline.com/2022/04/the-batman-premiere-date-hbo-max-1234999900/ Domestic, the movie had a 41% drop after that weekend, which was no different to its previous drops. Had a 60% drop on its 8th weekend (where it made 1.4 mil) but at that point, it would've made a 6-7 mil difference (even if it dropped just 30% that post-HBO Max weekend, it would've made a mere $2 mil that weekend). You think the movie would've lost another 40-60 mil + internationally?
  19. This is not proof. The movie had great drops throughout its run. Proof would be the movie falling off a cliff.
