Considering that PTA experiments with HAIM (and Radiohead too I guess) music videos to find the look he wants for his movies, would not be surprised if the movie looks something like this:
Rather than having a short ending, it's more likely the movie just has no ending at all and just ends in the 2nd act like the other two major 90 minute movies that released this year.
lmfao, RT score and audience score is about the same as The Empty Man (which went up from the 33% it had last year before it got its cult following). I said this would be this year's The Empty Man earlier and sounds about right.
I read the excerpt earlier and I thought the exact same thing lmao. It's the reason why I think something like Aquaman works. Annoyed by the movies that don't go all in with the cheesiness and have to wink at the audience so that they can be taken more seriously or something (like GvK, F9, Shang-Chi).
I've been pretty skeptical of vieweranon's stuff in regards to quality but that's because test screenings are a inconsistent indicator of final WoM. I don't doubt test screenings had bad reactions tho. I mean bad test screenings is clearly why WB dumped this one so hard.
Netflix is definitely not giving any of their movies a 3+ month theatrical window. And they have no clue how to market a proper theatrical release. And Netflix getting Nolan would be a terrible thing for movies.
Paramount or WB. They easily have the best relationship with IMAX. For the latter, they just have to make sure Jason Kilar is kicked out of the company.
Actually, the only other Universal film mentioned there is Candyman (AQP2 is Paramount), which I think was also Blumhouse? And the Exorcism reboot/sequel trilogy is also Blumhouse going straight to Peacock. Is Universal about to turn Blumhouse into a streaming studio?
