    Yeah I was lol. It's a pretty cringe film that made me wanna die (especially the moment they mentioned Tiktok), but the audience in my cinema seemed to enjoy it a lot and it seems like reception from actual Indians is pretty good. Your opinion generally lines up better with general audiences so maybe you'll like it, idk. I just have a hard time understanding how the bar for these movies have come down so low (it wasn't that bad when I stopped watching them) that this is considered a good film.

    So I was staying with some of my family who live near me this weekend and they decided to take me to watch a Indian movie (something I haven't done in years). This shitty movie I saw ends on a musical number about TikTok (and this is supposedly a famous song India, or at least the part my family is from) and that put me off from watching another new release for a decade. Are all the Indian film industries really that creatively bankrupt at the moment? @charlie Jatinder

    I mean I get that the PLF split and fan-rush is something to take into account here, but I have no clue how one comp in one region means it will have worse Thurs previews than TSS when it seems to be outerperforming that everywhere.

    Demon Slayer is an anime movie with a huge anime fan base. This is the same kind of audience that shows up for Dragon Ball movies, not Dune.

    Seydoux is absolute garbage in the film. Cannot be asked to give a shit about that relationship when even De Armas, Harris, and Lynch have better chemistry with Bond than she does. Her character should've died at the end Bond should've retired to take care of his daughter or something.

    Watching Ana De Armas on a 75 foot screen was worth the price of admission and this looks more cinematic than the last two films (which really just looked like car commercials) but this movie was kind of a clunker lol. Don't think I'll ever rewatch this one.

    Reading the comments on Bloody-Disgusting, that definitely doesn't seem to be a great response. The best praise I've seen is that it's closer to the games.

    Goddamn it, I'm gonna love end up loving this movie merely because of the music. I do like Anna Karenina (easily Wright's best film) vibes though.

    Im taking a intro to film class this semester and it's literally been a nightmare. Barely anything about movies. And an astounding amount of film majors who have a hard time watching anything before 1990. Spoke to someone who said Modern Times, which we were assigned to in class, was the first time they could ever finish a black and white movie.

    I paid $20 including convenience fee on fandango. Initially cost $25 but I got $5 off because I got some Fandango points. The only other time I'm gonna pay this much for a movie this year is probably Dune.

    Well, I can't hate on the second season when I'm probably never gonne see the first (which I should've probably done with other "big shows" with shit second seasons like Ted Lasso and The Boys).

    You've gotta be ignorant and borderline delusional to be saying this considering the numbers we're seeing on here and in the tracking thread. Even if the film is gonna flop domestic (which it won't), Alita comp doesn't even make sense. That film made 1/3rd of its box-office in China.
