BW has premier access and the hype doesn't seem like where it would have been in 2020 due to all the delays. Shang Chi will just do the usual MCU numbers in China. I think Eternals beats both unless the China release is blocked.

Getting good buzz all over the Internet. I am now even more sure that this will comfortably be the #2 MCU of 2021.

Yeah this episode was mostly just action. Ok for one episode, and it generally worked because the locations and lighting were really nice, but I hope going forward we return to the character focus of the first three. Overall a good episode though. It reminded me of "Lightsaber Lost" from Clone Wars, which had a similar style with the fast-paced chase through cool-looking locations.

Could be, maybe just F7 spiked due to Paul Walker's death, F8 got the afterglow of the big success, and now the franchise came back to earth.

Given how reliant the franchise is on China, I wouldn't say it's a very good result. And the WOM seems more like bad than average.

Yeah it's not a great sign for Hollywood. Still, I won't declare anything fully dead until we see how things go with normal simultaneous global releases in the fall.

This came on while I was channel surfing the hotel TV and I was immediately hooked. Two years removed from the hype it's as great as experience as it ever was. I was riveted through all of Act 1-3, great character interactions, emotions, and humor, and when the action does finally come it absolutely delivers with some of my favorite scenes in any movie. The pinnacle of the MCU. A+. Also one new thing I noticed was that this might be the funniest MCU movie. There were a lot of good and memorable jokes and yet I hardly ever felt they detracted from the emotions or the sincerity of the movie. Very well balanced in that regard.

I really like this show. The two storylines in this episode contrasted really nicely.

FF8 seems like a better comp than H&S to me. There's a difference between a spinoff and main series.

Yeah honestly before the trailer I didn't think they could make such an improvement on TCW S7 since that itself looked really amazing. The waterfalls at the beginning of the premiere were so beautiful.

Another good episode and good development of Hunter's relationship with Omega. I'm glad we get 16 of these. Will give a lot of time for further development.

This won't be the normal episode length fyi. Likely most of the season will be less than half this length at about 25-30 min.

Broncos will have a great defense no doubt, especially with Surtain now, but I question what the front office expects the team to ever do without a good QB. I really doubt Lock is the answer nor Bridgewater. If we don't get Rodgers then I guess I can expect yet another season of wasted talent across the field because of the lack of production at QB.

This is easily my most hyped upcoming MCU film at this stage, even over NWH. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

Tbh I don't care that much about style if I still enjoy the film, and both Homecoming and FFH have been some of my favorite MCU films regardless of their fitting in with the "house style." Audience reception was very strong for both as well, so that's why Watts is presumably getting FF.

Gemini Man was pretty dope in HFR (way better than Hobbit's use of that) but idk how much I would've liked it without that. I just loved the look of the action.
