  1. Godzilla vs Kong Cinemark PWPs: Wednesday: 1354 sold out of 2067 total. Estimated sales (using 80% ratio): $161,396 Thursday: 880 sold out of 2028 total. Estimated sales: $104,896 Friday: 1612 sold out of 2891 total. Estimated sales no clue. Saturday: 2434 sold out of 3281 total. Estimated sales again no clue.
  2. It's a fair point, but it's not like WW2 had that many walkups even with those factors. So it's not like GvK needs some kind of huge burst to beat it, especially with GvK having significantly more PS. But you could be right. Tbh I have little idea how this will play out with all the uncertainties about the ratio, the late burst, the walkups. My gut is telling me 10 or higher but I could easily be off.
  3. I have a hard time seeing the OD below WW84. But we will see. WW84 I also thought should be lower from the MTC data.
  4. That and lower capacity probably. Less room for a film to increase.
  5. Last really big one I remember was FFH which was a totally different circumstance, but iirc the pre-sales on that were really heavily skewed toward OD.
  6. I will get the data later today. But keep in mind that the ratio of PWPs being for GvK is not likely to be consistent day-to-day. On OD probably 80-85%, but probably significantly less on Fri/Sat.
  7. Or even without the HBO Max release tbh, I think piracy is definitely affecting things.
  8. To be honest, even these good ODs almost feel sad as without COVID, this probably could have been a massive increase over KOTM.
  9. 19:00 it's 37.3 million. Is the final number being used for PSm counting until 3am or until midnight.
  10. I'm searching them up and there just aren't that many reviews yet.
  11. Guessing this will end up about 60 on RT. Seems that the action is more clear and visually interesting than the previous films so that should help it improve from KOTM.
  12. Is it possible that Cesar Chavez day might be affecting things? Not being from California I have no idea if people are actually off work/school.
  13. Well, on the plus side, the scattered reviews/reactions I've seen do seem to suggest that the action is quite good and better than previous Monsterverse movies. Didn't ever expect much from the human story in this film.
  14. GvK itself is gonna blow past Tenet, you think the situation won't be better by July?
  15. That will be good to have going forward. But to compare with WW84 I guess it's better to use the number from the lower amount of theaters?
  16. Compared to where you had WW84 on T-8, it's 63% ahead in gross and 25% ahead in admits. Quite solid imo. But it'll need to start accelerating soon to remain on pace.
  17. Yeah, no really good comps for this one unfortunately. WW84 is probably the best we can do but the situation is far different now than even then.
  18. Yeah, but it will affect the comps. Like @Porthoshas said that there aren't any Regal-only areas in his region, not sure about @Inceptionzq. So extrapolating from these two will potentially overstate things.
  19. I will watch in OW if it's playing in my Cinemark or any of the local chain theaters. Otherwise I might just wait for it to come free. Being a prequel spoilers are not such a huge concern here anyway. Eh, even if BW is really hurt by the PA, I find it hard to see it losing that one. And even if BW really bombs, I think F9 will make a lot more than Peter Rabbit.
  20. Short term BW would obviously be beneficial. But thinking long term it may be wise for them to play a bit of hardball on this, especially if F9 and others are giving them good sales in the meantime.
  21. Then why not do theatrical exclusive? And if the argument is that hybrid is going to be the long term strategy for Disney, then one would expect them to go a bit further than this. My only guess is basically what @WandaLegion said, their PA results have been inconclusive enough to test it for a big blockbuster but not quite good enough to commit long term.
  22. Like I said in the other thread, a staggered release would hardly be unprecedented.
