  1. Part of me may actually welcome that. I don't have the self-control to stay out and I'm sure some oblique spoilers will filter their way through here once the movie has released overseas.
  2. I mean even like 45-52-50-40 is 187. If it fails to hit 190 that would mean walkups are very poor. Probably would be the most presale-heavy movie ever by some distance.
  3. I mean regional comps have been super strong as well. It's not like this thread is solely (or even mostly) comprised of MTC data.
  4. I'm inclined to think that this one location is just underperforming. I mean we have all our regional comps + scrapers pointing to a preview number that would very likely put this north of 200. Of course, there is a lot more uncertainty here than pre-Covid, but still.
  5. It's basically the same data as what Keyser had been getting before NWH. Everything lines up quite well. Maybe some things are slightly different but I'm sure that there's nothing big off there. Big difference is that coverage is higher now than what we had then, but there are ways to estimate that as well.
  6. Looks...ok. Will give it a shot as I liked the previous two enough. So Dumbledore knew about the Room of Requirement. I hadn't been keeping up much with the extended lore stuff, thought he only found it that one time when he needed to use the bathroom.
  7. Taking yesterday's pace as maybe 23k, if it follows TROS, perhaps 189k until final PS. 690k final PS or about 10.2 million in Alpha. Not sure exactly what that would be nationwide.
  8. Hmm...93 in the verified era is decent but not that amazing. I mean FFH got 95%, I suppose this should be able to match that at least, as long as something didn't go badly wrong.
  9. Yeah I'm almost sure there haven't been any screenings. Usually if there are you see some tweets about it or something. Haven't seen any of that here.
  10. Sunday acceleration happening with this fun being fairly early is encouraging. Tomorrow should be a sizable pace jump.
  11. I wasn't implying that 2019 was a weak year or anything, I loved quite a few movies that year, probably my most diverse year in terms of genres I watched. I just personally thought Endgame deserved a nomination because I found it to be a great movie.
  12. Oh, it definitely has some. Not as much as many other cinematic universes, true, but I'm pretty sure there were mummy toys sold from that movie.
  13. Actually that part was not a big deal to me. The score nominees were all pretty strong anyway, and he did make the shortlist.
  14. I'm not sure which movies you're thinking of that are marketing cinematic universes and not selling toys, the latter is just a subset of the former.
  15. Endgame Tuesday 6pm Eastern. TROS Wednesday 3am Eastern/12am Pacific
  16. Indeed, Endgame should have been nominated. I liked it better than all of the nominees I saw that year (around 5)
  17. Who's to say you can't sell toys, market a cinematic universe, and have artistic intention?
  18. Is not over, and the West is doing a lot better than many places. Plus 100-200m of that 700+ from China from which all 3 were banned, BW being on PA, Eternals being rejected by audiences...now if NWH had flopped it would be worrying, but that isn't happening. Btw it's weird to act like streaming movies are the only form of audiovisual entertainment competing with theaters. People buzzed about Squid Game more than the Extractions of the world.
