    Im checking places like movie tickets and box office pulse but i guess i cant seem to know where to look for tracking presales ect. As a newbie just wondering what i should be lookinf at on those sites

    You make an interesting point. 2d animation always was judged as you like the style or you dont. Yet our view of 3d cgi images....theres something about that computer image thar if it doesnt work for our brain we really get heated debates over it (and of course social media plays a huge part). Its just interesting how cgi can be very right or very very wrong in our perception. Anyway you put some interesting perspective on this

    I think theres an interesting aspect at play here. In a pokefan vs casual movie goer not in BO so much but response. Casual fans may love seeing the pokemon creatures and accept story as is. Pokemon fans....will there be a bit of division of fans who love seeing their fav poke on screen and story vs fans who will want a more "pokemon" style story going forward like the games and tv show? Im going to be interested in what type of pokemon story they want going forward and what direction a sequel heads in.

    Watched this 5 times in theatres. Seeing a dark batman done well was very impressive.

    Pika really has my attention. Ive read the tracking but i am curious as to how much post viewing avengers crowd it gets. There could be a swell between now and opening weekend

    Yes i should have clarified. I know theyre supposed doing a BA movie so it would be Shazam then Black Adam then shazam sequel. Plus yes black adam with the rock film then a meetup in shazam 2 would help even more to bring people in. My brain must be on holiday lol.

    I think shazam sequel will do more business than original. Depending on window it was well received and good wom and people imo will attend it being a known quality. I think streaming/dvd will increase appetite for sequel

    I understand this is 6 months to opening. Unless they already have footage with another model that they changed to the current one ( possible but doubtful) thats a lot of rush time that could look sloppy. Im surprised they didnt release this as a teaser early in production, would have had more time to fix it) Be interesting to see the results

    I mentioned this in weekend thread...i think pika will have that "well this is different" vibe going for it. I think Pika outdoes endgame in its open weekend. Close but ill say Pika 95.3 ....endgame 89.2

    I think Pika will get a good response in the "heres something different" variety. The past months weve had cap marvel, shazam and endgame. Not suggesting fatigue ( im not opening that can of worms!😆) but im suggesting even for non pokemon fans there will be a "this is new" type vibe. I agree with others its going to get a lot of walkups on a weekend afternoon or evening

    Aladdin will be interesting. The first trailer got ripped but the second got better reviews. I think its definitely going to be wom when out. Tracking wise its a tough call.

    Ive wondered about 2nd weekend too but then someone shared info showing a 2/3 full theatre for NEXT saturday lol. So there will be spillover. It sounds like this movie is multiple viewing material so that will help. Its amazing to watch the numbers for this film.

    My first prediction on forums i had a lot of fun. I think ill have fun with this going forward. Thanks to everyone for making it a relaxed atmosphere for a newbie!

    The friends im talking to are waiting for drive in/ or couple of weeks for things to die down. Massive rush has them spooked a bit i think lol

    I have to feel for those whi dont pay alot of attention to social media walking up opening weekend "Oh the new avengers film! Look at all the showings. I ll grab a tick--- hmmm 7pmsold out how about 9 sold out.nope...what? 3 am showings sold out??? You guya are sold out till when??!!"
