DS2 was a fun ride and had more style than most recent CBMs. It being hyped as NWH 2.0 with cameos and Wanda ending The Illuminati in one go hurt it more than they expected. A more tight script and around 10 minutes added to the run time would have helped for better reviews and reception.
At least this movie doesn't seem to have the same problems.
It just needed a bankable star like The Lost City/Bullet Train had last year. Chris Pine might be internet-popular but when has the man ever been a draw.
The case of TSS is definitely interesting. I've seen die hard DC fans not holding it in high regard for whatever reason. Personally, I think it was truly the "best DC movie" since TDKR at least.
