  1. This is also the last week for A2's run in China.
  2. Being in the run for Oscar give theater more reason to retain its showtime until the ceremony night. Also, disney didn't have anything in release in March and April. Keeping Avatar run is good for them.
  3. Extended edition will take time to render VFX. I would prefer we save the time for VFX artist to work on A3, rather than working on a A2 extended scenes. Shorter version is strange but worth trying. Unlikely theater has a desire to play this when March will be full of new releases.
  4. Is it possible they come out with a shorter-edition? like 30 min shorter to encourage repeat viewings and getting those stubborn folks that refuse watching long movie,
  5. Is 80 for Brady's lower pricing strategy really worked? I feel like the movie didn't attract crowd beyond its target audience with that lower price approach. It is just collecting smaller amount of money from the same level of admission.
  6. When will this coming on Disney+ or other home media? I hope the movie can get at least 90 days window.
  7. This is setting up to a strong hold weekend for A2.
  8. No, it is because NWH is such a cinema movie. The cheer and scream when each characters from other universe make their entry elevate the experience that streaming can never replicate. I saw the movie with my laptop a year later and the effect of that movie had on me diluted so so much at home.
  9. Problem is we been told for weeks this is the week when Avatar 2 crumble hard.
  10. The chance for the movie dip to 74% is gone and hardly matter anymore. The movie is now 3rd highest grossing film of all time and Oscar-worthy pic.
  11. Funny enough some people keep saying that Avatar 2 hold well because of limited competition but here we are the movie -15% facing a could be $105m+ opener. We are in the age that horror's 2nd weekend hold is better than MCU films now.
  12. Still far cry from when Avatar 2 was released when we have few 100+ pages in one single weekend or weekdays thread.
  13. Domestic should be able to contribute for another $20-25m, that left $35m more to go from overseas. Can Avatar 2 hit $2.3bn?
  14. AM3 has a great Saturday! My theory is the less positive review are just making fans less eager to watch it on preview or Friday. Instead they go during weekend,
  15. Just how many time you need to be reminded December 2022 was the peak of Covid and nothing else matters that time?
  16. We are all thought A2 will tumble under AM3 but instead, this week A2 will have second best weekend hold through its run. Last Sunday was deflated and this Sunday will be inflated. A perfect combo for a single-digit drop.

  19. 3D only release indeed hurt Titanic here in the already limited 3D screen. Paramount should allow theater to show 2D version too. I was hoping the re-release can pass IW in total.

  21. At least AM3 got to be first movie since Venom 2 to be in the range $200m+
  22. Is there any Avatar 2's numbers in Israel? I remember the first movie was like the first 1m admission movie back in 2009.
  23. But Eternals is pretty much a movie released during pandemic. There are still "reason" for the movie to underperform.
