  1. AM3 is destroying everyone but meanwhile itself isn't really a mindblowing business either.
  2. We’re hearing from box office sources that Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Qunatumania zoomed to a $17M-$18M last night in previews from showtimes that started at 3PM. That figure, which could be higher or lower once Disney officially reports later this morning, is where Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s Thursday night was back in 2017, at $17M.
  3. Shazam should be still quite feasible to blend in with Gunnverse. They never actually show who is it the Superman in the after credit scene. Also, it is also quite dumb for WB to just write off Shazam, it is not like they have a lot of series in their active library now. Not to mention they got to mitigate some risk coming off from Miller's involvement in Flash. Can you imagine Disney just throw away Avatar franchise because they were greenlit before the takeover?

  5. They should have just send for Titanic re-release. The re-release probably made more money than this.
  6. The drop after new year holiday is disappointing and poorer than other European countries in the region.
  7. 62 days after its initial release, this is 8 days shorter than Sing 2's 70 days when PIB's hold is better than that. They can't even wait until March since the last weekend of February will be quiet and good for holdovers.
  8. yeah, this is surprising and I didn't expect A2 bump more than any other traditional "Valentine" movies.

  10. Yes, after all these years, we still cried in Titanic. With blockbusters nowadays keep toying the death of the characters by bringing those characters somehow come back alive no matter how dead are they were in the previous movie, Jack in the Titanic, remains the most dead character in recent movie history. People know Jack is dead, forever gone like a actual death. The kind of ending where it let you feel you have lost something permanently is why Titanic holds up after all these years.
  11. If there is a movie that tame Oscar voters' ego to reward a mega-blockbuster, it is Titanic. This movie will get A+ cinemascore regardless of which decade it is release. The whole cinema hall had plenty of people crying and passing down tissue to each other especially the last 10min.
  12. This is miracle of filmmaking. The longer we move away from 1997, the more I appreciate and cherish this bygone romance epic.

  14. well said by the host. "If you guys don't win Oscar for best VFX, there are something wrong with the world"
  15. And avatar 2 stay on top on Saturday and Sunday.
  16. Probably this has something to do with the diversification of PLF. When Avatar in 2009, IMAX is the only PLF brand but today the cinema has a lot more choices when come to PLF such as ScreenX, Dolby.
  17. Just how many times you have seen this movie in total?
  18. The jump really got me confused about when is Tuesday and when is Friday.

  20. NWH, TGM and now BP2 all prove that the bigger the BO, the bigger the streaming number. BO is still an effective tool to market a movie' streaming run.
