Tarot is a cliche-fest and a bad movie but I've seen worse. The critics are REALLY destroying it. Single-digit score on RT.

You think Disney of all studios is going to skip trailers? I saw Mrs Doubtfire in the theatre the other day, and there were trailers for Inside Out 2, Apes and that movie that looks like Nyad with a younger swimmer.

Please stop falling for retorted studio budgets. Blumhouse is the guiltiest when it comes to deflating their budgets, but they all do it. I'm sure Tarot cost twice the reported figure.

Agree, especially the stench of Marvel in the jokes. But I also don't think the general audience really gives a shit about a movie where the leads are a director and her stuntman. It's kind of alienating. -
They have/had some talent. What does The Rock have? Does he even have one good movie in his filmography?

I do agree w the ppl saying this looks better than the last piece of trash at least we don't know every beat of the story and it does look a little less heinous than the last one basically whatever distance there is between this and the beloved and visually stunning 1994 one is helping this one

Yep. Leave it to modern-day Disney, who've completely lost the plot, to miss the whole point of what made Scar's betrayal of Mufasa so dark and interesting in the original TLK. He does that to his own brother. Way to rob that scene of all its potency by revealing they're not blood brothers. Then again, this movie will be forgotten as quickly as the CG remake from a few years ago, while the 1994 classic will continue to stand tall. This will be the tree that fell in the forrest but no one remembers that it did.
