  1. Yeh I seen a tweet and the creators suggested they battled with an NC17, but like you said it’s only a 15 here. Immaculate is an 18. I did get the trailer before Night Swim, Imaginary, Immaculate and Late Night With The Devil though. This sounds promising.
  2. Yeh sub 60% Monday drop, +35% Tuesday jump. Could be in for a drop under 50% in its second weekend.
  3. Our cinema vibe isn’t pretentious. Thank you very much. Just because he’s not making MOVIEZ doesn’t mean it’s pretentious.
  4. Apparently this is moving from May 3rd to August.
  5. What’s the usual pattern for the bank holiday Friday and Monday around Easter? Big Friday bumps, small Saturday changes, bigger drop Sunday, smaller drop Monday?
  6. Seen rumours on another forum that Universal won’t be putting Melissa Barrera forward for any promo because they’re of the same opinion as Spyglass. We’ll see.
  7. Releasing on Easter weekend would’ve been more fun from a marketing perspective. But I get why they don’t want to face Godzilla and Kong. I remember the buzz for the 2006 film well, opening on 6/6/06 was too good an opportunity to pass up. Would be surprised if this one made as much opening weekend as the 2006 film did on its opening Tuesday.
  8. Interesting to me. Love Scar Jo. And at least this one doesn’t have Chris Pratt in it.
  9. If anything can make this film more interesting, it’s Scar Jo.
  10. They’re going all out here in the UK with marketing, check this:
  11. Another good hold for Dune Part 2. Glad to see Immaculate at 3 considering it’s an indie and same for seeing Late Night with the Devil in the top 10 too. This Friday and next Monday being bank holidays, and I’m sure the schools will be off for longer round about it. Seeing Mother’s Instinct tonight.
  12. Got this trailer before Late Night with the Devil. I wonder if this will perform similarly to Renfield? Vampire, gory, comedy elements, April release date. Hopefully it can do more.
  13. Record openings for both Neon and IFC. Nice. Glad Immaculate and Late Night with the Devil found some sort of audience. Ghostbusters opening to less than the 2016 film. Again. Wonder if this one can beat it worldwide though.
  14. This will be my first Godzilla/Kong film in the cinema since Skull Island. King of Monsters was a plane watch on the way to Vegas and the last one was a Covid digital download. I’m not feeling much hype for this one but presales certainly suggest otherwise.
  15. Dune Part 2 is actually keeping one of the IMAX showings next weekend too, despite Godzilla vs Kong. Makes sense. Godzilla vs Kong 10 showings, KFP4 12 so far.
  16. You can imagine then, that’s it’s very rare for me especially to be scared when most of the films I watch are horror. Late Night with the Devil has a moment in it that gave me actual chills. Horror is great fun, but this wasn’t even a jump scare. Very well done.
  17. This was fantastic. Scariest film I’ve seen in years. The AI thing is a non issue. It was filmed years ago, before the strikes etc and it’s three intersectionals. They shouldn’t have done it, but there’s no point getting knickers in a twist. Side note: the amount of financier company logos at the start of the film got laughs from my audience lol, I think there were 8.
  18. Late Night with the Devil is the scariest film I’ve seen in years. One part made my eyes water a bit.
  19. Ah thanks, Box Office Report had 2,150 yesterday so maybe it increased. I love A24, but Neon have had some great horrors too (Lodge, Possessor, Infinity Pool, Titane, Immaculate). With Cuckoo and Longlegs coming, I’m glad they’re leaning into hyper violence. Hope they can keep going.
