  1. something tells me this isn't possible around here, but still a good graphic
  2. I would love to say no, but they do. It was even breaking news on CNN and usatoday.com. So that was their top story for a while sadly
  3. The only Marvel films that I can watch again are IM1, all 3 CW, the first Avengers and GOTG, Ironically, those are the only ones I went out and bought too. The rest I can do without, but only really both Thors, IM3 and TIH are "bad"
  4. yeah while there are only a handful that I would say are good to really good. I really wouldn't say the rest were bad, except a couple maybe
  5. meh trailer considering all the supposed hoopla about this movie, and like other people said, looks pretty derivative. But even saying that, it should do solid to good numbers and I may catch it if I have nothing else to do one day, so it at least did that part of its job
  6. Not playing sides here, but the mantra about reviews around here is that people can't make up their mind about a movie on their own and they need to save money so they use the reviews so they don't waste their money on "bad movies". So now the story is they are going to ignore the reviews and have the free money to go see a film they don't want to see. I think that's the point @Blair Witch failed Baumer may be making. Yes, of course they are people that want to see a movie and purposely go see a bad movie. But that is not the majority or even close to it. Most people will wait to see something they want to watch or find something else to do. I won't even go into my rant that no one should ever be bored, but that's for another thread and believe me this isn't about fanboying for any movie because you can look around and you won't see me saying that SS was a great movie anywhere
  7. Probably going in with tempered expectations helped, but overall, I thought this was pretty good. Although, I do agree that it could have been even better. They did add on to a few things from the first one, but not all of those worked. Overall, I give it about a B. I was completely alone in my theater so that was kind of cool and "freaky" at the same time.
  8. ok, now that i know this, I will probably like the movie more than you since I am expecting less from it now
  9. well it was...a trailer, so I'll give it that much but ok, the music was bad and other things weren't good either. OH well, it was never for me anyway
  10. yeah that's another reason I don't care about reviews or reviewers, they tend to spoil things and they don't know me so how can they tell me how I would react to a movie
  11. The only way I would see this in a theater is if a girl I was with wanted to see it
  12. I won't read one review, mainly because I never read reviews anyway I hope to see this first day, if not, I'll still find a a way to see it this weekend
  13. http://variety.com/2016/film/news/james-cameron-avatar-sequels-toruk-cirque-du-soleil-1201853970/ variety article where he talks about the sequels being a family saga, and he also says the December 2018 is not locked in stone. Not that they aren't going to try for it, but if they miss it, he's fine with that. Here's his quote from the article: As for the movie sequels: They’re on target to start rolling out in Christmas 2018 — at least for now. “We haven’t moved that target yet, but we will if we need to,” he said. “The important thing for me is not when the first one comes out but the cadence of the release pattern. I want them to be released as close together as possible. If it’s an annual appointment to show up at Christmas, I want to make sure that we’re able to fulfill on that promise.”
