  1. PP2 locked for $50M OW Mad Max locked for $32M OW Home is locked for <$100M domestic The best: TA: AoU locked for $210M OW
  2. 50 Shades of Grey Kingsman Spongebob Home Cinderella Insurgent Furious 7 Avengers Ultron Pitch Perfect 2 Mad Max Fury Rd San Andreas Entourage Spy Jurassic World Inside Out Max Ted 2 Magic Mike XXL Terminator Genesys Minions Pixels Ant Man Fantastic 4 MI Rogue Nation Maze Runner 2 London Has Fallen Mockingjay 2 Spectre Peanuts Movie Creed Good Dinosaur The Martian Sisters In the Heart of the Sea Star Wars 7 Point Break Doable....
  3. PP2 did $69M while MMFR did $44M in their opening weekends. The gap is closing fast by the coming third weekend. While PP2 performance is awesome, can it hit $200M?
  4. What's up with Mojo and crawling sense of doom over there....impending shutdown? Hostile takeover? Writer strike?
  5. I think MMFR is likely to end up like another May performer Neighbors with $150M and OS may very well end up with $250M for a $400M WW. Very nice figure for a hard R action adventure with scene
  6. No teenage girl in the audience wants to see themselves going on an adventure with their oldish-looking dad....
  7. WWZ is a zombie thriller that had a series of frequently reported production problems. The zombie genre never did gross more than $80M dom. San Andreas on the other hand belongs to the tried-and-true disaster thriller which historically is very popular. 2012 earned $700M WW. Day After Tomorrow, Poseidon Adventure, and Towering Inferno - all are hugely popular. Also, just for comparison's sake: Towering Inferno would have grossed close to $500M if it is released today. Earthquake (1974) would have done $300M+ & Poseidon Adventure (1972) $400M+
  8. With MMFR doing very good business, Warner may have a nice pair of medium-sized hits (Andreas $400M WW, MMFR $300M WW) here that sums to an equivalent of a single superhero movie ($600M -$700M WW). Problem is price tag of Max is little too high.
  9. $150M dom, $250M os, $400M WW, 2 sequels greenlit for release in 2017 & 2018
  10. Actually that's pretty awesome considering the film's S&M-weirdo aesthetics, the occasional ultra-violence & the general nastiness of the atmosphere. This movie deserves $200M that the equally nasty & violent WWZ earned in 2013.
  11. Still, a bit disappointing. I know Disney already made boatloads of money but I want AoU to pass $500M As much as I find FF franchise entertaining, FF7, with the exception of 1 or 2 action scenes, is a so-so action movie. MMFR is a near euphoric/religious experience compared to FF7. On that subject, MMFR drop of 39% is excellent for the genre and rating.
  12. If MMFR did $96M after Sunday, it can do $170M domestic.
  13. Disney must be furious at how a bunch of criminals are beating their biggest superheroes. Me, I am not furious. Although Ultron is not an excellent SH movie, it plays better than the tiresome, rather dull Furious 7. The best stuff they've already shown in the trailer and the best shot in the movie, also the most emotional one, is in the end when the 2 cars part ways.
  14. I am telling you people, this...this is gonna kill big time! Tell your bookies. Major increase from Maze Runner
  15. Wow, China has no release date? Why? This movie will do $100M - $120M easily
  16. Wow rather disappointing, I thought AoU can solidly do $1.6B WW
