  1. B+. It took me back to my partying days . I mean I was never at anything that crazy (obviously) but most of the things in the movie rang true. The cursing in the movie took me aback in the beginning of the movie but once I got accustomed to it I was fine. The party itself was epic, the music was great, the security kids were hilarious, the punching oven midget was something else. This has to be one of the most fun movies i've seen in a while and lol forever @ the updates in the end, especially the short bus.
  2. A. I loved everything about this movie except I wanted Tommy to win. But apart from that great acting (especially Tom Hardy),great direction, great script.
  3. The way things are going I almost wish John Carter leaves me with egg on my face next weekend. Sure it will be funny to me if it flops but how amazing would it be if it breaks out too?
  4. I wonder who could have made that one... Lol, I regret nothing tbh. I really can't wait for the epic lulz that will be had here next weekend when John Carter becomes one of the biggest flops of all time. Then she who laughs last will laugh best. And on topic, great for The Lorax and good for Project X.
  5. Man, John Carter people sure are testy. On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown I can't wait to see how mad some people get next week .
  6. Yeah, the only thing I remember about the Safe House trailer was the song. I didn't see many ads but those I saw just made it look like a typical action movie. But of course i'm not really an action movie person... I guess Denzel is popular though.
  7. IA. Some how the studios have been killing it with ads and trailers (John Carter excluded naturally). Idk if they were sleeping last year or what but they're making up for it now. I'm excited to see movies again. And even if in the back of your head you know the movie will suck the ads have drawn you in to the point that you just can't help but give the movie the benefit of the doubt. The magic of marketing (someone should give Disney the heads up)! To me that's what happened with the Devil Inside and The Vow. Safe House I didn't see much for so I still don't know how that happened.
  8. I absolutely disagree. If you've lost your memory and the last thing you remember is being engaged to someone elseof course you're going to act like you're in love with that person. Idk, I just believe that concessions have to be made for her behavior.
  9. That's right Project X, ease your way to over 25m OW. Make that under 25M club the epic fail it was always destined to be.
  10. Chronicle. B. Better than I thought it would be but too uneven. And since I doubt i'll see anything tomorrow February's count will be 9. And that's 15 for the year.
  11. Everyone has seen a variation of this movie. Everyone has seen a better variation of this movie. Everyone already knew Denzel is a great actor. Everyone already knew Ryan could act too and is very likable on screen.C+. Safe House: Nothing New Here.
  12. I loved it. Well everything except the storyline with them actually doing their spy work. That was unnecessary. I wish after the botched mission they were put on desk duty for the whole movie or suspended and the whole brother coming for revenge had been left out entirely. Now as a pure romantic comedy it would have been near perfect. Tom Hardy is so attractive and Chris Pine is ok I guess. Of course anyone in their right mind would have picked Tom Hardy. Idc how great the sex with Chris Pine was. And Tom also had the better personality and was the better match for her but whatever. What I would give to have Reese problems in this movie. I was a little on the fence about the dating two men without telling them. I feel sure the proper protocol is to tell a guy you're also seeing someone else casually. I know it can be argued until someone's officially your boyfriend you don't have to tell them shit but still, things like that come back to bite you. Surprisingly I found Chelsea Handler's character a good counterbalance for Reese and really funny. That would be the first time i've found her funny in anything. But the second best thing about the movie behind Tom was Reese's wardrobe. I loved everything. Except the black romper/wedge combo. I think she's a little too old for that one.
  13. Well the doctor did say one of the things she'd suffer from for a while was mood swings so for me I gave her a pass on a lot of her behavior. Blame the brain injury for her being all over the place. It's like she was temporarily bipolar.
  14. B. Not my kind of movie (teen boy dynamics are my no1curr) and yet...It started off slow. I never liked Andrew. I think all the actors did fine but i'm wondering if Andrew actor couldn't have done more to make me care. I mean his life really sucked and yet I felt nothing for him. I laughed mostly every time he was bullied but maybe i'm just a sucky person .Anyway once they got their powers the movie actually became funny and interesting beyond anything I imagined. Of course I have some issues with them going down into the hole in the first place. I mean have they never read Stephen King? Never seen horror movies? Beyond belief tbh.But whatever, they did it and that's fine. But then I start to ask myself where this movie is going. I'd actually have preferred if they used their powers to become off beat superheros but alas it was not to be. Of course Andrew had to go off the tracks, poor Steve had to die, there had to be a no1curr relationship with Matt and that blonde (seriously, who cared?), the flying looked so bad/weird and then the movie completely derailed for me in the end. Every scene after Andrew went to the hospital was a mess for me.So basically the beginning and the end were hot mess central but when the movie was good in the middle it was very, very good.
  15. Well, important things first. Jessica Chastain was best dressed for sure. McQueen can be hard to pull off but she did it well. I almost wish she had worn the unmodified version but I don't know if she could have pulled it off and better safe than sorry. Runner up would be Amy Adams at the Vanity Fair after party. That's the best i've ever seen her look. No one looked horrible but my worst dressed would be Melissa McCarthy. Being a bigger girl is no excuse. Runner up would be Rooney Mara. Bitch, there's a person called a tailor who will alter your dress so it fits right. The Oscars are the big time, get yourself together. Now that I have the important things out of the way the telecast itself was a boring mess. The days of Billy Crystal being a good host have long gone. He was painfully unfunny. I really could have done with less of those taped actor segments. If Hollywood had it's head any more up it's own ass it would suffocate. Also how did they have time for a circus break and not have time for a performance of the nominated songs? I wanted Man or Muppet dammit. Also, is Emma Stone really supposed to be funny and likeable? I don't get it at all...For the actual awards I can't argue with them seeing as I haven't seen all the nominees. Hugo deserved technical awards but it sucks for Harry Potter. They could have thrown the dog a bone. I'm happy for The Artist even though I haven't seen it yet. I'm sure it's the kind of movie I would enjoy. So yeah, everything awards wise was predictable and hard to argue with.Angelina Jolie, you're doing too much. Put that leg away. There is no need to act desperate, you're A list. Also, eat a sandwich.
  16. The Underwear Model (aka Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), THE HANGOVER PART 2 (Both a Sequel AND a Remake!) Nicolas Cage & Anyone Sharing the Screen with Him in Any of His Three 2011 Movies They burned some people good .
  17. I'll stay in. I don't even get how to guess midnights but i'll guess 16.4.
  18. This Means War today. B+. So much better than I thought it would have been. I would have given it an A+ but the action scenes were all unnecessary and who in their right mind would make the choice she made? I don't care how great that sex was... choose the much hotter guy dammit!
