  1. Yeah, I saw it today. I liked it more than The Vow actually but the action parts were unnecessary imo. They should have just made it a straight romantic comedy.
  2. I saw Safe House today. I don't get why it's doing so well. Denzel was great, Ryan was good but otherwise I feel like i've seen variations of this movie several times before. Plus that camera work... I don't need extreme close ups of faces thank you very much.C+
  3. Journey 2 yesterday. I'd give it a B. Luis Guzmán had me cracking up. I laughed way more than I thought I would.
  4. B+So sweet and enjoyable. If only guys in real life were a fraction as sweet as Channing was in the movie the world would be a better place  . I'll say some things surprised me. The movie wasn't as sappy and predictable as I thought it would be. And in some ways that's good but I never cried once. Not that I was hoping to cry but I feel like the writers could have easily manipulated the audience but they showed restraint and went down a more realistic path. I really enjoyed the movie until the reveal about why she fell out with her family. I was thinking it would be something huge. I mean your father sleeping with your friend is big but I was expecting more. Anyway I really liked that she went her own was and did her own thing before she found her way back to him. If not for being letdown over the reveal and Channing's face in general (ew, and to counterbalance his face they should have had him shirtless 5 more times at least, fair is fair) I would have given it an A+. The acting was good too, I guess Channing has been taking classes. Anyway, a very good date movie.
  5. And maybe they should have advertised it that way. Then all the forever alones could have gone and kept each other company. It would have broken all the records.
  6. Went to see The Vow. It was sold out, fml . Anyway me and the late crew who don't understand the concept of thinking ahead on Valentine's Day went to Man On A Ledge. I liked it. It wasn't believable in the least and some of the acting was a mess (brother's girlfriend, you are not pretty enough to have that little talent) but it still had me engaged and Sam Worthington and Jamie Bell were much better eye candy than overrated Butterface Tatum. A -.

  8. This year is crazy and I like it. Great for everything! Also idk why Journey would be surprising. How many kids movies are out right now? And it should hold great until Lorax.
  9. Idk, I haven't seen The Vow yet but someone I know who did (female) said it was bad. I'm still going to see it myself anyway.
  10. I probably haven't watched Espn in years... I saw a few on mtv, a few on abc, I can't remember any on bravo or the cw.
  11. Well I always would pay attention to what was number one and where films debuted so i've been generally aware for as long as I can remember. Paying closer attention to the numbers probably started in 2008. Up until then I was more into the music charts. But I wouldn't say I really, really got into it until I started playing the derby at the other place in 2010. Now I almost feel invested in results...
  12. For me Safe House. I saw lots of Devil Inside ads and they were very effective. I hardly saw anything for Safe House and what I did see didn't sell it to me as it apparrently did for other people. Those Safe House numbers are crazy to me. I'd never have guessed.
  13. Yay for The Vow.Not surprising for Star Wars or Journey 2.I am shocked about Safe House. What in the world? 2012 always has something up it's sleeve. I wonder why young males suddenly decided to start seeing movies in movie theaters again. I know a lot websites no longer host movies/tv shows like they used to but i'm still really shocked. I didn't see over 30M coming at all.
  14. Today I saw Contraband. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. B+, I was especially impressed by the acting.Of course I had to sit in front of some douchebags who kept kicking the back of my chair and one of them had a skanky ass girlfriend who put her feet up on the chair a few seats away from me. I hate teenagers .
  15. Yeah but now she knows she has a half sister i'm hoping maybe Charlotte can fill the keeping her human role and Jack can gtfo.
  16. Perfect show is perfect. Well, maybe not perfect. Jack and fake Amanda are so annoying (the less said about Declan the better). Hopefully all three will be gone by next season. Anyway, I haven't been so anxious to see what happens next on a show since Lost. Is it next week yet?
  17. And today I saw Joyful Noise. I don't think anyone else there was even under 40..........There was an excellent children's choir.Dolly Parton is an absolute delight and should be in every movie.Queen Latifah slapped Keke Palmer GOOD.Ok, and there you have everything positive about the movie. D+ (The singing gets A+, that lead singer of the children's choir will be a huge star, mark my words).
  18. It sure can! If Taylor Swift had been cast in Les Misérables it would have been game over for me. And there's no musical I don't love so that's saying something. I mean if I hate a celebrity there's no way i'm going to see a movie they're in. If I just strongly dislike someone it will have to depend on other factors. Most people i'm indifferent to so it doesn't even matter. There are some people who really can't act (shout out to Blake Lively and Channing Tatum especially) and everyone seems to know it but Hollywood so they pop up in movies that you would otherwise think are ok and then you just have to grit your teeth and go see the movie anyway. Bad acting is often funny so that can actually add another layer of enjoyment to the movie in any case. When it comes to adaptations of books or remakes of movies I usually will give anyone a chance even if they seem miscast. Sometimes you never know. Unless it's someone I hate.
  19. B.Maybe my heart is too icy because I felt nothing. Technically I can find little fault. The movie was well directed, the cinematography was excellent and the 3D was very well done. But the only character I cared anything for was Sacha Baron Cohen's. I only wish he had caught Hugo and sent him to the orphanage because that kid annoyed the hell out of me (and that little boy's acting was so uneven, sometimes he nailed the scenes and sometimes he was so bad even Disney Channel wouldn't hire him). I will say I also very much enjoyed the silent movie clips even though that part of the storyline had me rolling my eyes. Golly gee, the ~magic~ of the movies! Gag me with a spoon. And that automaton... that was some creepy shit
  20. Today I saw Hugo. I'd give it a B. It wasn't as good as I was expecting.
  21. Yeah but idk how much nepotism really helped India. I can see that argument more for Lily Collins or someone who definitely is trading in on their last name to get opportunities they wouldn't get otherwise. I wouldn't say India has gotten anything out of her league so i'm fine with her.
  22. Shailene got a good role. I really doubt India would have done any worse. I mean maybe Shailene is borderline better on their tv show but on that show they are the two worst actresses on tv so that's not saying much. And this all ties in to my opinion that maybe 10% of Hollywood actors would be good in anything, 10% would suck in anything and the other 80% are as good as the role they get.
