  1. I love steelbooks too. I owned quite a few from your photo. Sometimes I chose to buy DIGI-books or regular BRs with a nice slip (especially the lenticular ones), whatever appealed to me the most. Glad I'm not the only collector around here. ^100% agree!! I'm more serious about physical books than movies actually. At least I've downloaded quite a few movies, I have ZERO e-book in my possession. My saving account has never lived up to it's name for a good reason. I bet there're some dusk and spider-web in there.
  2. I don't care if I can download Super HD versions of the movies, they won't come with nice artworks or nice packaging, my favourite movies deserve a physical form. Now if they are shit movies then I don't mind owning a ghost version of them.
  3. Well, he probably meant only the good ones..lol. I just named all the I could come up with. Yeah EOT was good and I quite enjoyed PR for the visuals. Both movies could have made more IMO.
  4. I think he meant the original sci-fi like EOT, Jupiter Ascending, Tomorrowland or non-sequel movies like John Carter or Pacific Rim.
  5. If the new Hulk movie's going to continue the romantic angle between BW and Bruce then I hope it'd never get made. I don't have enough sick bags for that.
  6. M:I5 and JW are doomed then. Too bad for M:I5, JW at least might not need the yens that much.
  7. Thanks. Expected number for AM, I guess. Is TG already out of the top 6?
  8. I agree $11.55m is a great number (and a more realistic one actually). I just don't think it's going to do $12m+, that would be such an incredible hold.
  9. I don't think the Sat number would hold unfortunately. That number is too good to be true so it's going to go down just like yesterday. There's no reason for it to hold that well this weekend. Ant-Man is it's direct competition demo-wise.
  10. I watched Metallica played that song live plus I caught Lars's drumstick, f***ing unreal. I know it's OT but I just love to brag.
  11. How did it hold up for you? I thought I really liked it in theatre and couldn't wait to see it again but after watching that BR I was so enthusiastically bought I felt really underwhelmed. The scenes I loved didn't look as spectacular as I thought they would be and the story was really dragging in parts. I've never watched it again since then.
  12. I think it's 3rd worst after IM2 and Thor2 and probably on par with IM3 so IMO Ant-Man number is exactly what it deserves. It's in "very fun to watch but nothing memorable nor special" category.
  13. Thanks. JW and IO is going to be neck and neck again this weekend, I love it. Minion SAT is a little over IO first Sat. Can Ant Man hitting $60m with that number?
  14. Just pick your titles wisely. I made a mistake of buying everything I liked instead of everything I loved. Now I'm stuck with a lot of titles that might never get another re-watch. Why did I think it's a good idea to buy Oblivion and Rock of Ages any way?
  15. Me too! I also bought Interstellar BR and The Babadook DVD last year. You're still buying Jurassic World BR right? I am.
  16. My local cinemas have started charging the same price for 2D and 3D for a while and there're still more 2D showings because most people prefer them. 3D is dying here too which is a shame because some movies actually look better in 3D.
  17. Yeah I'm one of those people. Love to be in the minority, I feel like I'm a part of an elite group of the collectors. Unfortunately even I have to cut-off my Blu-ray spending spree and only buy my favourite blockbuster movies these days because I run out of space to put them.
  18. Same for me, except I only need to listen to a few songs. I know what I'm looking for.
  19. I'm glad Ant-Man come under the estimate. I think the movie is good but it isn't good enough to be a big break out. So far, it's made what it deserved. I love SH movies but not every C-list super hero need to have their own movie. It's becoming too redundant. GOTG looked very interesting back then because they came as a group but I had no interest in Ant Man at all and only saw it out of obligation to be brutally honest.
  20. I buy Blu-rays, CDs and books ALL the time. I often paid extra money to buy limited edition of those. Because to me, not owning physical copies of them =/= owning them. I love to own my stuffs. Owning digital files to me feels like owning air, NOTHING. I don't think I'm a loser though, I'm proud to be the one who support the industries.
  21. Around $5m would be a fair number. I just saw the movie and while I could see why it'd gotten such positive feedbacks and more favourable reviews compared to AOU, the movie just wasn't for me.
  22. So with that number, JW actually falls behind TA weekday number for the first time (not counting a Mon holiday), does that change anything? For comparison TA made $1.97m on it's 35th day.
