I'm going to my local cineworld, where they've made a big song and dance about tickets for 2D shows being only 5.20 all day, and even less if you book online. I'm hoping this means it'll be damn busy.
I agree, it's unfortunately an inevitability. It'll be the same on Oscar night in March. Besides, there will be plenty of live tweeting from 6ish when the ceremony actually starts.
Just booked my tickets for Lego on tuesday. Cineworld adopting the Bargain Tuesdays deal across all its locations has gotten my friends interested in going more often to the cinema. It's only 5.20 here on the day (and even less when booked online!)
I may have picked shit loads as there's loads of awesome stuff on there. But over all I would do anything to see Blazing Saddles on the big screen m only movie in my top 3 that I haven't seen in a cinema.
If this were out 2 years ago, $150m+ would have been doable. Last year, $100m-$125m maybe. I'd say in 2 years an absolute limit will be $70m This blazed seriously bright for a couple of years, but it's gone from being a 4 quad brand to strictly for under 13s. Seriously big missed opportunity
No problem. I've only ever been there once, back when Saw 3D opened, and the only issue I could find was the lack of a dedicate box office. But for cineworld you should always book online as you save 10% with them.
The closest I can think of to central London that wouldn't knacker your wallet would likely be Cineworld at the O2 which is about 15 mins on the jubilee line
