  1. Plus, if the initial story is believed, Warner offered to delay JL to Snyder so he could have time off to spend time with his family. Snyder said no, and to keep on schedule and thus Whedon was brought on board (well, technically he was on board doing some writing...)
  2. As much as I loved WW (and I did), Batman is still Warner's bread and butter.
  3. Would be nice to get something on The Batman as San Diego Comic Con begins a week after War for the Planet of the Apes is released, thus Matt Reeves will be free to begin work (script phase probably) on The Batman, even if mentioned as part of their new/updated slate. But yeah, would be no surprise for an announcement on Wonder Woman 2.
  4. I really want to see that movie, but god that's awful. Looks like he just wandered onto the wrong stage.
  5. Yep, the iconic scene. Another one that stood out, and I know many didn't like the third act, but when she went into berserk mode, I thought it was great.
  6. I had read a figure of $1B between the two. Edit: Here's a link to the article from October 2015: https://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/10/08/avengers-infinity-war-parts-1-and-2-have-a-budget-of-one-billion-dollars/
  7. I would think the bigger talk is a WW opening to over $100M. Can't we soak that up before delving back to MOS of 4 years ago?
  8. 1. Wonder Woman - $46.2M (-54%) 2. The Mummy - $37.0M (NEW) 3. Captain Underpants - $13.2M (-46%) 4. It Comes at Night - $10.5M (NEW) 5. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell no Tales - $9.7M (-55%) 6. Megan Leavey - $4.8M (NEW) 7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - $4.7M (-52%) 8. Baywatch - $4.2M (-51%) 9. Everything Everything - $1.9M (-42%) 10. Alien: Covenant - $1.7M (-58%)
  9. Looked at my local theater, of the 9 showings, I'd guess probably 3 or 4 will sell out. 10 am and 11:15 am only have maybe 10-15 seats left. I'm sure later showings will begin to fill up as well. Update 1: So far so good. 10am showing sold out. Update 2: 11:15am sold out. 12:30pm will be sold out, only 12 seats left Update 3: 12:30pm sold out; 4:35pm and 6:05pm almost sold out Update 4: 4:35pm sold out; 6:05pm will be sold out, only 18 seats left; amazingly 2 3D showings also SO. Update 5: 6:05pm and 7:10pm sold out. 9:25pm doing good while the last, 11:15pm most certainly will not sell out (no surprise)

  11. Telling you, if it misses, Warner will "borrow" some money from King Arthur.
  12. Updated Forgot to add, if the 11:15pm does sell out, that would mean all 9 2D showings got sold out here. Nice.
  13. Should've thought about it more. My first SH movie was a year earlier, Batman. I even remember where, a small theater in a coastal town while my family was on vacation.
  14. Update as well. Also wanted to add, perhaps since WW was sold out, two showings of Pirates, one of Boss Baby and one of GOTG2 were sold out. Now, for context, at least with BB and GOTG2, those might've been in smaller theaters, almost guarantee it was small for BB. As a side, for Boss Baby, they have a 10:10pm showing. Why? Seems awfully late.
  15. Since we're doing the ranking game to fill time until we get some Sat #s: 1. Wonder Woman (A-) 2. Batman v Superman: UE (B+) 3. Man of Steel (B+) 4. Suicide Squad (B-) 5. Batman v Superman: TC (C)
